The main benefit of Ragnvaldr main character is when you play as him, you're not playing "Fear and Hunger", you are just playing "Fear", because he can eat anything he kills (that has flesh)

It baffled me that recruit Cahara didn't come with Steal. You need him to steal from you to get him in the first place and it's the only thing from the Endless skills that could have use not being on the main character.

Its kinda dumb how mairriages basically cancels out enki's downside and ragnavaldrs upside . I think the marriage shouldn't give you a flat attack bonus but something that scales with the character you're playing

There's one other benefit to Legarde. He can use Miasma with no risk. (the cut scene happens but he resists the sword's influence)

You can just unequip it from other characters while surpassing the miasma event spots, that's why it's irrelevant!

@@Ornyl on the contrary! ending C allows you to canonically escape the dungeons with your party, and you live for many years in the outside world, albeit as a deeply traumatized recluse. getting the girl, the demon kid, and moonless out of the dungeons is as close as F&H can ever come to a happy ending, and it certainly matters.

I'd personally rate party member Cahara lower due to all of the annoying events associated with him where he leaves the party (or how you have to talk to him twice in the void. It's a minor inconvenience but still annoys the hell out of me) or how he is more useful dead since his soul allows you to skip Skin Granny and break even with the cost of taking his soul if you get steal and get the two soul stones from Valtiel.

I do like the party members like Moonless that don't need regular food to survive, but I suppose that's less important once you know the game well and can speed through it instead of needing to backtrack everywhere 5 times.

With consideration, Ragnvaldr is actually very very handy as a recruiter character, if you're fighting against a boss with magic attacks, put on magic defense armor (such as the ones you find on the skeleton if you use passages of Ma'habre to grab blue sin), have him use war cry, and then just have him guarding the whole time, black orbs wont even average 30 damage, and of course vise versa with bosses that are physically powerful, swing by and kill the guant knight, throw the armor on him, and do the same. Only real scenario this does work with is during the Sylvian fight, in that case just get powerful weapons, plenty of healing items, and try and make sure at least 1 party member has leg sweep (bonus points if you have locust swarm)

If you want another idea for a tier list you could make an all item one covering the items from the game looking at how useful they are to the player, I think that would be cool as well

@@frapollo94 I think doing a all equipment (accessory, armor, weapons) would be useful, armor maybe less since it's obvious wich one is best other than the obscure way penance works with no defense, but still, I often find myself thinking "is miasma with a shield better than a cursed claymore?" or "is eastern sword better than blue sin?" so I do think that would be useful, and especially accessories would be nice Then after that an all consumables, not only to rank them, but as a good video to explain what each one is ueful for, I saw multiple endings and have yet to understand what each color of vial does and how to craft them lol

A good tierlist, but a couple of important (in my opinion) moments are missed. -The girl can be sold at the beginning of the game for good items. -Moonless is good at the middle game, but if you teach her the combustion skill, she will become OP. - You can cut off ghouls' hands and get sergal spear effortlessly. -Abominable marrige, along with sergal spear and the crowmauler talisman, has the strongest damage in the game. - Le gard can wear miasma without penalty. There tips that can make a D tier character better than S one. Anyway nice video, i enjoyed it.

-true the girl sold, didn't mention it but i included it in reasons for C tier -moonless being uncontrollable and no equipment still makes her not good enough -you can cut off everyone's arms, that's why i don't consider it a special quality of ghouls -false, abominablemarriage cannot equip crow mauler soul -penalty is irrelevant if you remove miasma from equipment when you pass near the miasma spots (also even skeletons have no penalty)

@@frapollo94 ranking ghouls is kinda funny in an odd way when you consider the sergal spear and marriage and these things because the ghoul being so low value and disposable is what gives them value in this circumstance. Ya you can cut off anyone’s arm for the spear but ghoul is the best option because they are already so worthless. Same thing with marriage, anyone can be used for a marriage but if you use a ghoul you don’t have to worry about losing out on a potentially valuable party member.

There's a secret tier list of that one character who... somehow.. whenever you use them, your luck becomes considerably better, that Ragna for me, I've done S ending on him 3 times now... Also, shout out to Enki mah boi, max gro-goroth affinity, you get necromancy and marry the ghoul in literal minutes of starting a run.

maybe i have a skewed view of the girl, i had her go for headshots every turn since i figured she did no damage, and so this 8 year old first or second turn assassinated like a good 50 percent of all the fights in the game for me, i guess i got really lucky

One more minor thing about Moonless is she can eat rotten food without getting sick. That’s not a huge plus, but it’s nice because it gives you something to do with all those rotten meat pies you find, and it lets you save your good food for other characters. This pairs well with Ragnvaldr’s devour because it cuts the amount of food you need in half, removing the issue of hunger from the game.

The best part of skeleton is that you can equip cursed rings on them, so the optomize button won't end your run.

It is true that everyone can make a marriage but Enki can start with necromancy allowing him to make an easy marriage while true that greater blood magic loses utility over time with the right tricks and despicable deeds you can become really powerful (ik everyone can do that). But if we look at it from a more roleplay view, Enki is the perfect character for you if you like learning occult magics, the secrets of the cosmos and the greater scheme while crushing every petulant insect or rabid CUR that DARES to get in YOUR way, challenge YOUR power, deny you YOUR Enlightenment that is SURELY promised by ALLL-MER HIMSELF!(aka me). He holds the best utility for wanting to learn magic (ofc Cahhara beats him in everyday utility). Soooo yeah wanna be a wizard play Enki all of them are amazing characters you just need to know what to do. As always amazing video! O LORD, GIVE, SUBSCRIBERS. (tried to become a member during stream but couldn't, also cant join discord server :( )

rag buff idea : devour now becumes 2 diffrent skills, the frist is the normal version but now you can use it with other characters and if you accidentally use it, it will play the search dialogue and the 2 is a skill in battle that costs 30 mind and dose 25 damage per point of hunger and you must have at least 10 hunger to use it and it has a max damage of 1000 one use per battle and resoters hunger . war cry now gives a damage buff to the character that used it of 1.75 and all other characters a buff of 1.15 , it dose not stack and you can only have one of the buffs not both and it can be used before battle similar to en garde .bloodlust now costs 20 mind but its a coin flip attack for youre character that dose nothing if failed and if you succeed youre character will attack five random body parts and it takes two turns one to use the skill and another to do the coin flip . new skill animal war cry can be chosen as an option between war cry or the new skill, it can be used in or outside or battle similar en garde and it summens a dog that works the same as monless but the dog will disapear after a battle and you need to have the skill if you want to tame monless on terror and starvation diffacylty on fear and humger difacylty you dont need it, also aginnst some enemis if you talk to them and you have the skill you will have an option to use the skill which will stun the enemy for 2 turns and only works once per battle . elite gurds are not immune to marksmanship, and marksmanship also gives a passive bunus in battle if you are using a bow, +20 damage and you attack twice and you get a bunes turn where you can only attack [must be using a bow to get the passive buneses]

Just to add, you didn't mention that Le'garde is the only one that can use Miasma without downsides, and becuase of leg sweep, he can get it the moment you recruit him.

Imma tell you a secret, you can just unequip miasma from other characrers when passing through the locations that trigger miasma! BOOM

Late here, but Ragnvaldr does have an additional use as a party member, being that he can use War Cry to make the Crow Mauler target him This usually results in his death, but buys time to ensure your better party members don’t die, so at least he has that going for him

There is another big advantage with skeletons(and L'egarde)they can use Miasma without suffering madness

One use for the girl is as a mage. She can learn almost every spell, and is such a blank slate that you aren't dropping any positives when focusing soley on a mage build

Sure! Gather resources, then make a savefile (1 time free in crow bed), then experiment either the map or the enemy puzzles (enemies are puzzles), and remember, GUARD is useful!
