Wieder ein tolles Video von ihnen. Habe selber gute Erinnerungen an die Flugtage in Ramstein Ende der 70er und in den 80er Jahren. Währe da nur nicht der 28 August 1988 gewesen. Das zu sehen macht mir heute noch eine Gänsehaut. Aber trotzdem ist mein Interesse an Flugzeugen bis heute geblieben. Grüße und weiter so.

Eigentlich musste ich wählen, welche Szene mir am besten gefiel, was eine sehr schwierige Entscheidung war. Aber die beiden, die ich als phänomenal empfand, waren: 1. Der C-17 @ 2: 33. 2. Der KC-135R @ 13: 17. Trotzdem hat Ihr Team großartige Arbeit geleistet, indem es nicht nur aus außergewöhnlich erstaunlichen Blickwinkeln aufgenommen hat, sondern auch, mit wem auch immer die Bearbeitung eine ebenso wunderbare Montage jedes Flugzeugs hervorgebracht hat. Aber abgesehen von der Beantwortung Ihrer Frage habe ich eine Frage und andere Bemerkungen für Sie. Meine erste Frage lautet: Aus welcher Quelle haben Sie die Fluginformationen für jedes Flugzeug erhalten? Ich habe die Informationen gerne gelesen, aber angesichts der heutigen Sicherheitsbedenken bin ich überrascht, dass die Fluginformationen nicht verborgen sind. Als ich arbeitete, unternahmen wir viele Geschäftsreisen, um an der Ramstein Air Force Base und ihren Satellitenanlagen zu arbeiten. Wir waren im "Christine Hotel" in Landstuhl, einem der besten Hotels, die ich je auf unseren Reisen um die Welt erlebt habe. Wenn Sie jemals eine Wegbeschreibung zum „Christine Hotel“ benötigen, kann ich Ihnen genau sagen, wie Sie dorthin gelangen. Für die Szenen, die Sie aus der Ferne aufgenommen haben, muss ich vermuten, dass Sie sie entweder vom „Bismarckturm Landstuhl“ oder vom „Nanstein Castle“ aus aufgenommen haben. Während unserer freien Tage besuchten mein Freund und ich beide, und sie sind die einzigen mir bekannten Orte in der Gegend, von denen aus man die Szenen, die Sie uns gezeigt haben, auf Video aufnehmen kann. Hab ich recht? Nebenbei bemerkt, mir hat nicht nur das „Christine Hotel“ gefallen, sondern auch die Landstuhl-Gegend. Die Gegend hatte möglicherweise italienische und griechische Einwohner, und abgesehen von einigen der sehr guten deutschen Speisen hatten wir viele köstliche italienische und griechische Gerichte. Danach haben wir viele der Bars genossen. Ich vermisse die Zeit, die wir in Landstuhl verbracht haben, sehr. Der Großteil unserer Arbeit wurde in einem Werk der amerikanischen Luftwaffe im Einsiedlerhof, etwa 10 km östlich von Landstuhl, durchgeführt. Nochmals vielen Dank für ein weiteres wundervolles Video. * * * * * * * * * * I thank-you so very much for doing a most wonderful job to prepare this video experience to your viewers. This is your American subscriber, Guerry. I apologize for not commenting earlier, but I had to fulfill other responsibilities. But to answer your question as to which aircraft was my favorite, I could not choose just one. Actually, I had to choose which scene I enjoyed the most, which was a most difficult decision. But the two I found to be phenomenal were: 1. The C-17 @2:33. 2. The KC-135R @13:17. Nevertheless, your team did a great job in not only recording from some exceptionally amazing angles, but whomever did the editing produced an equally wonderful montage of each aircraft. But apart from answering your question, I have a question and other remarks for you. My first question is: From what source did you obtain the flight information for each aircraft? I enjoyed reading the information, but given today’s concern for security, I am surprised that the flight information is not hidden. When I was working, we took a lot of business trips for work on the Ramstein Air Force Base and its satellite facilities. We stayed at the “Christine Hotel” in Landstuhl, which is one of the best hotels that I have ever experienced in our travels around the world. If you ever need directions to the “Christine Hotel”, I can tell you exactly how to get there. For the scenes you videoed from a distance, I have to guess that you shot them from either the “Bismarckturm Landstuhl” or the “Nanstein Castle”. During our days off, my friend and I visited both of them, and they are the only two sites I know in the area from which one could video the scenes you showed us. Am I correct? As a side note, not only did I like the “Christine Hotel”, but I really enjoyed the Landstuhl area. The area had may Italian and Greek residents, and apart from some of the very great German foods, we had many delicious Italian and Greek meals. Afterwards, we enjoyed many of the bars. I miss the times we spent in Landstuhl very much. Most of our work was done at an American Air Force facility in Einsiedlerhof, which was about 10 km east of Landstuhl. Again, thank-you very much for another wonderful video.

To your first question: We were also very surprised that we got the military informations/logs: from a App/Website called RadarBox where you can see the routes every airplane flew the last seven days we are getting a lot of infos, we are also using Facebook group for some Infos or very important the Ramstein Passenger Terminal, luckily there is also ADS-B Exchange (also a App/Website) where you can track the aircrafts. You're right: we went to the Bismarckturm in Landstuhl where we took the footage from above. I also like the Landstuhl area very much! That last C-17 clip, those guys from the Alaska National Air Guard are a long way from home operating out of Incirlik Air Base at Adana, Turkey. I spent 3 weeks there back in July and August 1988 with the RCAF C-130E Hercules, never got below 100 F for the time we were there, first time I'd seen ca refrigerated outdoor swimming pool too.

Jedes mal wenn ich die C5 sehen muss ich an die Zeit in Frankfurt denken, wo da noch die C5 und die Globemaster Stationiert waren. War als Kind so häufig am Flughafen und wenn die C5 gestartet sind, sind die so extrem tief noch gewesen, als die bei uns in Wiesbaden über die Häuser geflogen sind ^^
