@@bryanburnett5514 Russ is good as well for his interviews…honestly Nic D & LaRussell are the only ones who really go in debt about it. If that influencer audience saw your aong 1 time. That means they had to see it 8 times before thinking of consuming it out of the platform... Thats 4k times 8. Thats what your budged should look like to see something.
@russellmenez11 ай бұрын
So true. I'd rather take that 4k and invest it into music gear or content creation (camera setups, etc.) - whatever can help me stay consistent.

One thing i know is that every influencing or promo content on social media should have unique hashtags and not forgetting to tag or identify the author which is the artist. By so doing, you are able to know exactly how many videos have been done by the influencers and be able to check their performances and statistics same way you're able to see how your personal videos are performing

Thank you so much for these videos Nic. They are absolute gem. Teaching is one of your best strengths for sure. You are an inspiration for so many people. Here are some questions and maybe potential video ideas One thing I really wanna hear your opinion is does your genre matter? Do you think there’s a specific genre of music that does best on social media platforms? Every song I create belongs to a different genre so is it best to have different pages for each genre ? Plus I’m bilingual so should I create a different artist page for the other language ? Looking forward to your uploads every day. Thank you for being so consistent 🙏🙏🙏

I remember an interview with Connor Price mentioning an artist that releases royalty free music for KZbinrs til this day. I'm not sure if his music was on the KZbin Library
@jonahreath11 ай бұрын
hello Nic, am a big fan. and i got a question. so i am an upcoming artist and i am in the process of collaborating with another independent artist, but the problem is that am using distrokid as my distributor and this other artist is using another distributor, so it will kinda be complicated to how we will do the royalties. and again is it advisable for an artist to have some releases on one distributor and again use another distributor to release other songs. so i dont have enough knowledge on what to do. and again i dont think am fine with paying another distributor since am already subscribed to Distrokid and have many releases under it which i cant stop paying the anually fees for distrokid since my releases would be removed if i stop the payment when the current one expires. thanks
@epiesco333411 ай бұрын
Hello Jonahreath I'm not too sure but I think what the other artists need is just their email address. Even though they are with a different distributor, what they need to get paid by your own distributor is just their bank account details, which in this case is only their email address since they probably would be using PayPal for withdrawals. As for the second point, I think it's possible to use multiple distributors for your different songs(if you wish.) I do use Tunecore, and two other new distro (Trac and UMIjam). At times a song can be disapproved or rejected by one distributor for their own reasons and approved by another distributor. I'm a living example and I'm speaking out of experience. I use 3 distributors. But I've only subscribed to Tunecore. The rest I use them from the unpaid plan

I need to quit music. It's destroying my life. With the genre I play, I will never make enough money to even support myself, let alone improve my quality of life. I might look into doing soundtracks or writing for people who are actually performers. I need to give up the dream of making some classic album and being one of the cool kids.

You're better off putting more effort into your own tiktoks then spending money trying to make other mid tier "influencers" make it blow up. They don't know the vision and story behind a song but the artist does. You, Connor, and many other proved the art goes farther in your own hands.

One of my excuses I keep using is that my music doesn’t really suit “trends” or “viral sounds” on tik tok. I’m very hesitant to post videos using my songs because the music I make is slow folk music and I’m worried people will think it’s boring. What do I do???

Can you do a video on facebook/ig(meta) ads? Ive seen a video where you talked about how you ran an ad campaign at the beginning of your career. Making viral Tiktok content like you do is obviously the best way to promote your music, but almost nobody can replicate it, simply because making viral videos in general is so hard to do (or everyone would do it). Thanks alot 🙏
