From what I've seen, Geoff is a truly humble man, which is difficult to find these days. He will tell you he's old and boring, but he is definitely neither. He also has a fun side which you can see in his version of Way Down, and his sense of humor comes through on the tutorials he's done and even in the video he and his wife did sharing the story of her hearing loss.

Speaking of Geoff's "normal speaking voice" - he's also got narrations of several poems and stories on his solo channel, some of them fairly long, but a few are short enough you could do a reaction to them if you wanted to (like Poe's The Raven) - although I'm not sure what kind of audience you'd have for those. Personally, I'd be willing to sit and listen to Geoff read me a phone book or his grocery shopping list!

Awesome reaction. Geoff learned to play the harmonica in 2014 when he played Elwood Blues a few times at Universal Studios Orlando. He has a 5+ range. Super high and super low. He usually clones himself 3-4 times for harmonies. Each with their own names and personalities. In this video left to right.... Jeff, Geoff, Daryl and Jeoph. The other is Goff. The numbers on his shirts are each of their names from the keypad numbers on the phone. His wife Kathy's idea. Yes. This man is extremely talented. I am on his and Voiceplay Patreon and I love it. These guys are all humble and genuine. The type you want to hang out with. Voiceplay new video coming out on Friday shows their funny side. Probably noon est. Another video they did that shows their funny goofy side is "Butter". Pay attention to the background.

@@nickforell1 thank you for another great reaction to Geoff. He always goes above & beyond in all he does. Who else but Geoff would rent out an entire prison for a video ? No one ! Both Geoff & Layne from Voice Play always give their all. They are all very theatrical & are known as The Theater Kids of acapella. They always give us fans what we want. They don't go on tour anymore unless it is a special request. They would rather spend the money they get from their Patreons to produce all their awesome videos for us. They are getting too old to do both. Plus it gives them all time to spend with their families.

What's wild is, this is a somewhat rare (now) case of Geoff not using any subharmonics (producing a note one octave lower using the physics of soundwaves). That's all his chest voice. The man is a dragon. Speaking of which, "Over Misty Mountains Cold" and "I See Fire" from The Hobbit are good ones to check out. The first really shows off his low range (Misty Mountains trended on KZbin back when it was released, which is how I found Geoff, and later found VoicePlay) and the second shows just how good his tenor range is. He's a one-man acapella group!

It always makes me giggle when people hear Geoff’s baritone range for the first time and they go ‘wow, that’s deep’ when he hasn’t even accessed the bass register yet in the song 😂. The crazy thing is that he didn’t even use any extended techniques in this either, just pure chest voice! Welcome to the VP/Geoff club! 😊

Geoff began naming his "clones" during the Way Down video shoot. Since then, he continues to identify the various Geoffs by those names. The prisoners are, from left to right: 05333 - Jeff, 43633 - Geoff, 32795 - Daryl, and 53674 - Jeoph (clone Goff was acquitted). Geoff said he, Jeff, and Jeoph were released from prison, but "Daryl didn't make it out, he stayed on to be the prison cook. I guess his true passion was haute cuisine - Who knew?" Jeff is reading "Cash: The Autobiography of Johnny Cash." Geoff learned to play the harmonica when he portrayed Elwood Blues in the Universal Studios Blues Brothers show. The low note in this one is an F#1. There were supposed to be more "background Geoffs" on both upper levels, but they could only access the ends and the left side as you face the video. There was originally a bridge between the two sides and Daryl was supposed to be doing pull-ups from it rather than the pushups you see in the video. Fun fact: There is a continuity error at timestamp 1:50 - Jeff's glasses are not hanging from the front of his shirt. The decommissioned prison is in the process of being turned into an algae farm. They rented a section which hadn't been converted yet.

Geoff rented a closed down prison that was being converted to an algae farm. Did you catch the little hidden details. The first inmate was reading a book about Johnny Cash. Also, each of the inmate numbers correspond to letters on your phone and spell out the clones' names. 5333= Jeff 53674= Jeoph 32975= Daryl 43633 = Geoff Geoff and Kathy's attention to detail is astounding! And yes, Geoff is really playing the harmonica. He had to learn for a fof at Universal years ago. Voiceplay and Geoff fans like to joke that the only thing Geoff can't do is admit that he's a bass singer. He still tries to claim that he's a baritone with a bass range. But Peter Barber called him out on it in their interview.

Yes, Geoff, and all the members of VoicePlay are genuine, humble, kind people. I just love them all. So, I skimmed your comments, and forgive me if someone did say this already. VoicePlay is based in Florida, but Geoff was born in Virginia and he lived there until around the age of 7, I believe. So when he was learning to talk, he was in Virginia. Then his family moved to Florida, but he still retains a subtle southern accent which, in my opinion, is quite charming. If you want to hear him sing a smidgen of modern country, check out VoicePlay's mini of Josh Turner's, "Your Man".

He shouts out his top tier patrons, and the top and next highest patrons’ names are rolling in the list. But we are also a whole lot many more patrons on lower tiers, he actually has quite many 😊. And it’s a joy to support him! Sometimes he uses the help of other VoicePlay members for camera and/ or lighting to film his videos, but in many (as in this) everything is done by him and his wife Kathy (except the final sound mix, it’s done by Ed Boyer). Check the credits for his and VoicePlay’s videos, they do almost everything themselves and that is so impressive imo!

He had to learn it when appearing as a Blues Brother. It him doing the singing. His range is five octaves all together. His wife Kaathy did the filming and sorted his clothes.. Then Geoff did the editing putting it all together. He also does all the music using a keybiard with plugins to get the different instrument sounds. And the pushups of course. :)
