I currently use the Micro Touch Solo shaver and it works just fine to me....except for the fact that I've had a few flaws with the razor heads, they keep breaking off everytime that I try to clean out the part of the razor where the facial hair clippings collect. So I bought a second one to use as a spare in case that I break or loose the other shaver that I'm currently using. But other than that I don't think the product is considered to be a piece of junk, no it's all in the matter of how you use the product.

I bought one of the original Microtouch Solos and was never able to get proper replacement blades. The original ones were blue. The newer ones are silver and the guides that came with the shaver do not fit these blades. Extremely angry about this because I shouldn't have to pay for a new shaver to get a compatible blade.

I just bought one and I see why it's not a smooth blade - it's not designed for smooth shaves. if you read the package, it says "SHAVE to a perfect stubble". So this is for geting it as short as possible when you can't do a regular shave or to help avoid razor bumps. But I do like the trimming which is always the one thing we who keep facial hair find hardest. This may be the best item for good even trimming while having the feel of a regular razor. more comfortable in the hand.

Hey James, I always shave my head with a razor but I'm thinking of getting a electric shaver. Have you considered doing a comparison between head shavers? I notice that your head is always cleanly shaven and I would be interested in how you shave your head.

It really is a good choice for people that prefer electric. I have ridiculously sensitive skin. No combo of shaving cream and special razor will ever work for me no matter how many people recommend secret fixes. It's been almost 20 years since my facial hair came in, and this is near the top of any electric I've used. The recharging USB cord is a big plus, since my since my son's toys take all the batteries in my home.

I bought mine from Amazon and it came with an USB connector. I charged it up and tried it on my face hair and it was pretty good. it left a little bit of stubble, but that was fine. I tried it on my arm hair, and it did great! I got carried away and cut most of it off! Anyway, it is the best razor I ever bought. I wondered why mine has an USB cable.

I received this for Christmas and I like it. I'm glad i watched your video though. It's always better watching someone use it before I try it on myself and I'm glad i did. The 1 millimeter blade worked good but it did take several runs over the same spots to get all the strays off. Its a good razor though. Would have preferred a better angle for the edging.

I used the one blade for my head. Awesome. Every other day as well. It gets close enough to appear totally bald without having to worry about razor bumps. I just ordered the micro touch solo. It's trial run. Will be tomorrow night.

Mine only charged one time and worked but now it charges but the blades don't move for more than a second or two. I made sure everything was brushed out and not blocking anything. So I was wondering if I could use some sort of light oil on the blades?

How well does the OneTouch work on those hard to reach areas (i.e. underneath/below the chin, sides below the jawbone). I've had an issue trying to shave these areas. Great and very helpful video.

It's great for trimming anywhere, but for shaving it's not really the best option unless you like to leave a little stubble.

Could it be used with shave cream.? The tv commercials made it look smoother than yours. I never heard the buzzing noise on tv, that explains a lot. I thought it was silent ultra high no BUZZ.

I would like to trim my goatee, which has gotten pretty bushy in lockdown mode, but I'm concerned about getting it too close. From watching your video, and using some common sense, my thought is to start with the 5 mm comb, applying the downward motion. Agree? Any other suggestions?

I bought this trimmer. Right off the bat, it feels cheap. I have doubts about how well it will withstand a fall. That said, like you, i found that it cuts hair quite well. You informed me that the blades must be replaced! Thats a deal breaker. Plus i was sore to learn that it cant be used in the shower. Nice vid. Thx

It work well for what it is and the price. It ia a little fragile so you have to be carefull changing the trimming gides.

I used the OneBlade for a couple years but was looking for a cheaper more durable alternative. The oneblade's blades break on me all the time. It make no sense to use delicate soft plastic as a spring. I was just about to try Remington's version but really didn't want to spend the money since I had just bought a OneBlade blade but it broke 2nd time using. Luckily I randomly found the Solo at Burlington for $12.99. It's been months now and haven't replaced the blade yet but Amazon has a 3pack for $13.99. All around much better than OneBlade.

I'm thinkin . . . if you are a guy who has some facial hair - you probably already have a trimmer and a razor. I can't see a reason for adding this to my bathroom vanity drawer. Now if you are just starting out with the facial hair thing - and haven't already invested in other tools - - then go for it. I don't find it impressive. Thanks for the review.
