The ChefsTemp thermometer would be 'okay' in a professional kitchen. As a chef, it's probably too big to put in our chef jacket pockets. However, many thermometers I use have the Celsius & Fahrenheit button on the outside and it's an annoyance to some of my cooks for how often that button gets switched in their pockets. I like the internal switch of the ChefsTemp and might order one of my own. Nice review! Maybe test the out of the box accuracy of thermometers in the future.

Sometimes to get a really good mix I like to spin the whisk by rolling it between my hands and the handle on that one is so thick that there's no way I can get a good spin like that, whereas my go-to whisk's handle is no thicker than a pen so I can get a really fast spin mixing a lot of air into the food, or just simply getting everything moving better as I mix.

Twist whisk is nice as being able to flatten it makes it easier to clean than a traditional whisk. The paper tower topper is a good idea, I just don't see why you would buy one. You can find the .STL file (3D mode file) online and just take it to your local library and have it 3D printed for free. Cling wrap dispenser is pointless, it literally doesn't solve any issue, if you like the cutting style dispense, you can buy rolls that have those cutters built onto the box. For those who aren't aware, because apparently a lot of people don't know, there a tabs on either end of cling wrap boxes that you push in and they hold the roll in the box (same goes for aluminum foil boxes)
@W1ldt1m2 жыл бұрын

Problem with Silicon whisks is that they still have metal tines inside (that's how they keep their shape and rigidity). And, if you use them in, say, a cast iron dutch oven or against hot steel (making gravy or something), they can break at the tips (the tip being the "end", or part that probably touches the surface most).

My concern with the twist whisk is all of the crevices created by the sections for each wire. It’s probably easier to clean the whisk part when it’s flat, but I’m not neat enough to always avoid getting batter or flour in the parts at the base of the wires. I’d end up with a crusty mess and spend hours with a toothpick trying to get pancake mix or dried egg out of those cracks after washing it. Cool idea - especially being flat for storage - but I’d get annoyed if the gunk wouldn’t come out in the dishwasher. And I really wanted to like the slicer thing, but the tines didn’t line up as soon as it was open…and, you know, the whole falling apart thing. Love your channel!

Nice demonstration, James! The paper towel topper looks like a great solution to the old problem of getting the paper towels to tear off without getting 3 times as many as you want or getting the other paper towels all wet and/or dirty. If I didn't have an undercabinet mounted paper towel dispenser, I'd definitely get one of those. The paper towel topper is back in stock on Amazon. The Chef's temp thermometer definitely looks much more useful than the brand I currently own. It reads much faster, and being able to twist the probe to either side is handy. Also, having it turn on on its own is nice. The C/F switch being inside would really only bother me once. The price is a stopper for me, though, even with the discount. The twist whisk would be good, but I never use a whisk, so it's not for me. The other 2 items don't work well enough for me to even consider them.
