This was a beautiful interview! So many nuggets here: 1. Fred's mother sharing the gospel with him 2. Ray Hammond giving Fred his last name and Fred making it great 3. Fred being transparent about how these songs came to be 4. "I see a lot of Pauls, but no Jesus"

This interview makes me want to cry........ not tears of sadness but of joy. I can listen to Fred Hammond all day and all night. He has such a voice for story telling and the stories he shares blesses me to my core even if I hear them over and over again. That story about his dad - Ray Hammond...... man.....he had no clue the impact Fred would have on the lives of millions of people all over the world. I am so glad that God in His omniscience placed Ray Hammond into Fred's life. I am grateful for God timing. I saw the tear running down Fred's check as he shared those intimate moments. I am grateful for his mom who loved him enough to share the gospel with him. I am grateful for how he endeavors to walk in humility before God and man. I can only ask -- how can we not serve a God who is so intimately acquainted with every need we have and has the most phenomenal ability to meet us right where we are and take us to exactly where He wants us to be. Indeed He is good!

Fred Hammond is one of my favorite Gospel Singers!! My Mom would play his music all the time when I was a little girl. This whole Podcast episode blessed me so much!! And his testimony is so powerful and his father was such a blessing to him!! It reminds me of my Momma! Ugh, so many gems were dropped. About struggling with certain sin and trusting the process to overcome! Like at 1:51:00 when he talks about the gap between Romans 7:24 and Philippians 4:13. What a revelation wow!! And the part about Casting your cares upon the Lord is confirmation for me!! Also side note, that is so awesome that he there when the Winians wrote “Trust in God” that’s another one of my favorite gospel songs! God Bless You Uncle Fred and Uncle Tim!! 💕💕🙏🏾🙏🏾

1:20:31 Worked all through high school and part way through University at McDonald's... LOVED. EVERY. MINUTE of it... I still highly recommend it to young people.. it was a great training ground. 2:36:02 made me think about where God says that he desires TRUTH in the inward parts & in the hidden parts he'll give us wisdom ...as we back up and unpack our truths and fears and concerns he can reveal more of his wisdom to us about who He is, about who we are and His purpose & plans... We can be trusted because we have been truthful and transparent. Thank you Fred Hammond for your transparency and sharing!
