I have been working on the new site behind the old Town Hall and was impressed with this building and the Art School when I used to go for my dinner of which the confectioners on the street where the old Royal Doulton factory, a great shop...cheap prices!!!

I thought it was funny when people called you "duck" and when me and my workmate went home I would shout out the window "alright duck" to strangers amazed at how friendly people responded with a massive smile and a wave. When I got back to my home town Darwen in Lancashire I tried it on a local man and there was not a glimmer...but well there would'nt be anyway but it was good for a laugh.
