I placed one of my orders with Fred on the phone once and another time with Helen . They sure seemed like nice people . They are the best design for thumb picks and the only ones that i will use .

THAT WAS ONE OF THE VERY BEST TESTIMONIALS of a guitar pick one could make. You clearly had a lifetime friendship of course with the Kellys. I was just looking at a local news broadcast of a Fred Kelly interview in 2015 at his little shop in Grayling, MI. Helen was on that video as well. So, thank you for sharing. I have been messing around with various picks, filing some, testing out angles and curvatures. The speed pick is definitely my favorite so far but I wish it had a slight angle adjustment and was more secure on a random up pick. Thanks Doyle. I know you visited, played at a Sweetwater gig not too long ago in Fort Wayne, IN. I watched it and enjoy your playing style. People still talk positively about it and how nice you were when you were a guest there.

So sorry to hear of Fred's passing... Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Fred, I have enjoyed using my Fred Kelly picks ever since you gave me a handful of them back in 2001!!! I've stuck with them ever since (nothing else comes close)... thank you Doyle for doing that!

Thanks for sharing the tribute. Fred, Helen, and the rest of the family are good people. My first memory of Fred is him cooking me a walleye. I was just a kid but was so amazed at the taste. Apparently, Fred was as good at his walleye as he was with this guitar picks.

I'm so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I talked to him a few times and he was so nice. I love his thumbpicks. They're the only ones that fit on my thumb and they sound the best too. Everyone at the company is so nice. Doyle, I met you a number of years ago at 'The Guitar Shoppe,' in Laguna Beach. I remember Kirk asking you to show me something and you were so gracious to do so thanks so much. Stay safe.

Yep, you handed me a very nice orange Fred Kelly/Doyle Dykes speedpick after a Godin demo in The Netherland - I always have it at hand, thanks again! You also inspired me to pick up a Godin Montreal which is a wonderful guitar - love you Doyle, may God bless you and your family.

He gave me a white one after a demo in Eindhoven in 1999. It was my best birthday ever. First I heard lots of good music, then I had a chat with Doyle, got his pick and the shop owner gave me a free set of .012" Elixirs. It was a birthday night on which me and my buddy had to choose between Frank Gambale demoing ??? Ibanez I guess... and Doyle. I picked Doyle and Doyle gave me his pick. IMHO THESE are the best thumb picks in the world. It's sad to hear that the inventor Fred Kelly passed away. It comes with age I guess... you see all these old trees fall down and you think: 'Hey, my world is changing... although I still feel like the kid I used to be...' R.I.P. Fred Kelly
