Classic Fred Sokolow - simple, even primitive - but nobody does guitar tutoring better or knows how to get the best out of a simple song. Even his rough old voice sounds just right

This demystified a whole lot of jazzy chords. Gonna cover this song next summer if my band mates can play it too. I CAN PLAY D minor 7th flattened FIVE now! and it makes sense. This guy is great! But I still can't get thzt B7 section/bit - but after 12bars you can play any old stuff....thanks for this...may well buy the CD;

Rickyfromphilly, it's not compulsory to make a comment but if you have another way of playing the same, may I suggest that you upload it and then your audience can choose what suits them, whether you wear a hat or not.
@richyrich50497 жыл бұрын
It isn't really the playing that irks me about this video. It is his vocal phrasing and lackluster singing. Most of all, when he sings "and your mommy's good liking". That just sounds creepy. Adults don't usually refer to mothers as mommy. Creepy.
@seanmulholland90076 жыл бұрын
Lacklustre singing hahahhaha what’s that got to with this great man teaching humanity how to play the great guitar? This is an old song and the term mommy is completely innocent 😇 you imbecile lol with a name as pretentious as Richy Rich? BHAHAHAHAHAHA
@joeynavis30786 жыл бұрын
what did gershwin write in porgy and bess/??/ oh yeah,,,, not mommy and daddy,,, it was maternal biological unit and paternal biological unit,,, just doesn't quite roll off the tongue the same though
@100perdido3 жыл бұрын
You can't play like Fred without a hat.
@GargesFriend12 жыл бұрын
What happens in the Intro? Gershwin meets James Bond? I'd rather suggest Am6 / Bm6

how is this for beginners? his chords are not even like in the books. I understand if you're a pro you can make your own chords but it confuses the heck out me.
@timmay30113 жыл бұрын
it sounds pretty bad, i think.. his picking timing is off, it sounds like he hasnt practiced this one for a while.
