Wonderful playing. I love the flugelhorn and the way Freddie played it. Great music from a great exponent of the instrument.

"Freddie Hubbard :Tp" He is not playing a trumpet there, it's a flugelhorn.

@boricuatrumpet69 He sounded like a sax player because he listened to John Coltrane when he studied his trumpet..so he spoke like Coltrane through his trumpet.

Heroin wasnt his drug! Cocaine maybe I know that was Stanley Turrentine drug. Early 80s Freddie ran with the party crowd . Happens when turning 50? Midlife crisis ? Blakey , Miles even Rollins had heroine habits 40s, 50s, maybe 60s. Miles kicked in 50s so did Trane. Rollins kicked early 60s. Blakey maybe never but lived to 70 yrs. Coke became popular in late 70s 80s then crack which probably killed Turrentine, Reggae Star Dennis Brown .
