This lovely man singing this absolutely stunning song gets me every single time and I have watched this SO many times. Freddie, when he sings, and all of the little nuances he puts in there, plus his 100% believability, I never doubt that he means what he sings and he means what he says in the precious interviews we have of him. Chills. He is my absolutely favorite, along with Queen, and always will be. 💗

My ALL TIME FAVORITE song is "DON'T TRY SO HARD", a ballad Freddie did on Queen's Innuendo album during those last months of his illness... It has a similar powerful message and his vocals are SPINE-TINGLING!

This song & in my defense, both from the same show/writer are IMO some of Freddie’s best vocals. And that would be mike Moran on piano. The other genius behind Barcelona. Freddie always sings with every part of himself. The 2019 release surpasses the original, which had a full orchestral effect. Wonderful reaction.

Hello Dereck - I got excited when I saw that you were reacting to Freddie Mercury’s TIME. It was written by Dave Clark from the 60’s rock band The Dave Clark Five! He produced a musical called TIME starring some of the biggest artists at that time. He also wrote a song called IN MY DEFENSE which Freddie sings beautifully (one of my favorite vocals by Freddie). There’s an audio version of IT’S IN EVERY ONE OF US where Freddie sings with Cliff Richards in the musical. They were good friends!! Thank you!!

Freddie couldn't have re-recorded this in 2019 since he died in 1991! I remember when this came out. It was his recorded voice over a video cut, spliced and mixed from different performances of Freddie from the past. Still, it's his own pure, powerful, emotional, legendary voice. And that's what matters.
