They trying to be funny ,and want backlash at Michael because he and Freddie vocals were different. Some like Michael way of singing ,and some liked Freddie's way of singing and vocal. Neither are better than the other,. It depends on what you like,what talent you like. Some like Anita Baker way of singing . I don't. I think Freddie’s voice is fuller, and he can certainly hit the high notes, like Michael. His voice owns the range-Both men had sharp clean voices, both were musical prodigies, and masters of ad libbing. I give it to Freddie overall, for the voice-But it’s almost a worthless comparison. Michael could do things Freddie couldn’t do, and Freddie could do things Michael couldn’t do. I wish they’d worked together more. Sadly, Michael got real weird real quick in the 80s at the heighth of his career. And Freddie died way too young for a man so talented, so kind, and so good.

I remember when I came across unreleased demos they recorded together "There Must Be More To Life Than This" and "State Of Shock". I think because of conflicting schedules.. MJ ended up recording "State Of Shock" with Mick Jagger for the official release. It's been quite awhile, many years now.. since I've listened to these tracks. :( MJ and Freddie Mercury have always been my favourite male singers of all time. I watched interviews of them fanboying each other lol. Queen is my fave rock band. You wanna know who was able to make me feel passionate about music and inspired again after these artists? BTS!!! It's something that's hard for me to explain. I just don't get this feeling a lot with a lot of artists. I'm so glad you are reacting to this. I highly recommend you react to the two songs they sang together "There Must Be More To Life Than This" and "State Of Shock". When MJ's song "They Don't Care About Us" came up though... "I am the victim of police brutality now" *sigh*

Huh... I never thought to compare these icons' voices. Interesting "competition." I'd rather listen to MJ than Queen on any given day, though I go through a Queen phase every now and then, but when one VOICE is compared to the other, only one gave me involuntary good chills...and it was Freddie. It's blasphemous, I know!! I love, love, LOVE MJ, and if I had to compare MJ's MUSIC to Queen's/FM's I'd choose MJ. He just has more fun music, but this unique comparison brought to light how much one voice affects me more than the other. This experiment/comparison showed me that FM has a greater range and a greater command of his voice. I KNOW I'm in the minority, but this is my reaction to listening to their voices without music...and it's telling. Love you both and hope you are at peace. We miss you.

Autotune doesn't make bad singers into good singers. It corrects slight flat or sharp notes and that's it. It doesn't magically fix someone's voice. You have to have a good singing voice already for autotune to even work like its supposed to. You people have no idea what autotune is, how it works, or why its used. Dont speak on shit you don't know about.

@@Cactusfruitsquisher hahahaha ok first, we are not talking shit about them. 2nd, if auto tune is to fix tiny problems or flats then why else use it? There's no other reason. If you're a professional and you know how to sing in key then work hard and do it without any help using auto tune. Why else would you honestly? Is it because you're lazy? Is it because you feel like you don't want to? Why else?? That's exactly what I mean by comparing artists from today to back in the day. Back then, you had to WORK your hardest to achieve something or just simply sing in key. But NOW all you have to do is sing ok and the auto tune will help fix the other mistakes in your singing. Like there it's done no need to try your hardest.

@@ZENOBlAmusic L O L please check his song credits because he did play some instruments played percussion, piano, synthesizer, and a little guitar. He just didn't play them to a complete expert level. He would also beatbox his beats and record it on a tape recorder and then when he went to the studio he would sing each note and have a guitarist or whichever instrumentalist play the note he wants. I think that's pretty impressive not many people can do that tbh. Remember, he spent over 20 years with J5 who played instruments and before he was the lead singer he was also playing instruments so idk why people keep saying this stuff that isn't true lol
@ZENOBlAmusic
@ZENOBlAmusic 4 жыл бұрын
@@chels8715 I knew Michael played some keyboards. But it was obviously not up to standard, otherwise he would have done it publicly. To become a musician you need to practice a lot in order to play your instrument, being around other people who plays instruments is not enough. Being a musician is really about practice. There is no way you can realistically claim that Michael was somehow a better musician then Freddie. Freddie started playing the piano at the age of 7, he completed grade 5 in classical piano. Freddie actually played piano before he began to sing. In his first band, he was the the piano player of the band, not the singer of the band. Everyone only knew him as a piano player and guitar player at university, he actually started singing very late at around the age 23. He could read sheet music, but he hated it, and played by ear. Freddie could play the drums, I have only seen one short video of him playing the drums. My guess is he never did it in public because he knew it was not good enough. He only played piano and guitar in public. If you are not good at something you are not going to do it in public. When Freddie composed a song he composed everyone's part for them separately, like the drum part, bass part and the guitar parts along with the solos. People who actually study his compositions think it is at a genius level, like a Bach or a Mozart. He did write a whole classical album. Here is an example: Rachmaninov's Revenge - Freddie Mercury: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6iwiWWum9NrepY. Here is an interesting analysis of We Are The Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody, it really explains the musical intricacies of the songs (if you are interested in knowing more about musical theory): kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZqZeJamj8Sqaq8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/joLFaWVtg5uirdk&t Composing music at this level takes some musical knowledge, you need to be able to play an instrument, decently well. The reverse is also true, I am not going to claim that Freddie is a great dancer or near the same level of a dancer as Michael. That would be completely unrealistic and nonsensical. I would presume Michael practiced a lot of dancing through the years, and that is why he was likely a good dancer. I would say Freddie practiced the be a musician and Michael practiced to be a dancer.
@chels8715
@chels8715 4 жыл бұрын
@@ZENOBlAmusic I never said MJ was a better musician than Freddie. I was replying to the part of your comment that said he didn't play any instruments and he actually did if you check a lot of his song credits. Also, no he didn't play it on stage because that's not what he wanted to focus on he wanted to make sure he gave a full sing/dance performance not playing instruments because he's not an instrumentalist and I never said he was. But you can't deny that for a man who is not an expert at playing instruments, he can still compose music by beatboxing or either singing each note of each instrument so the expert instrumentalist can play it- there are not many artists that can do that. Just because you aren't an expert instrumentalist doesn't mean you aren't a great musician, which he is. Here is one of the many examples of the way he would do his music: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4vIiqpnl9Joabs Not to mention , the way he takes the time to vocally layer his songs by doing his own background vocals are amazing. The man was incredibly detailed and very involved with the music and composition and arrangement of a lot of his songs and that's why he still can be considered a great musician even though he didn't play any instruments. He's just not a great instrumentalist but he dang sure is a better instrumentalist than the average person and a lot of other music acts. One example of him layering the vocals for each part of the song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bae3d2t6ariFp9U He definitely knows music well enough to play what he wants either beatboxing or singing the note and that still makes him an amazing & complete artist. Just think of all the other artists who aren't involved in the making of their own because they can't play an instrument, but yet MJ still was able to make his own music, which is pretty admirable.

I personally think Freddie has the best voice, but MJ is the best singer. There are actually studies that scientifically prove Freddie's voice to be the best of all time. As far as control and agility though, MJ definitely wins. I say they're both too different to compare, and it just comes down to preference.

I believe it wasn’t freddys teeth, it was something wrong with his Jaw that allowed him to open his mouth wider to help with that range, he was also born with extra octaves like Mariah Carey and could reach her squealing high pitched vocals if he actually wanted too
