They were both fabulous in their own rights. Both had 4 octave range. But you can hardly compare and their voices are different. Michael was pop. That was his main genre. Freddie and Queen however covered every genre. They were not tied to one thing. 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and up until Freddie died in 91. So Freddie was more versatile in different genres.. Blues, Jazz, Opera, Rock and Metal. Michael couldnt have done Opera. But, like I said, they were both kings of their music.. Michael sang in a higher voice range too. Both legends.

@@Seeker118 I'm going to be entirely honest with you here; I, without a doubt, have no idea why, and this is no offense to the two fans of Michael’s, as far as their character or overall person they are goes, but, more so, their behavior, especially in this specific moment, any fan of someone who, in every fathomable way, stood for love, kindness, respect, empathy, understanding, equality, and, the list goes on and on, would spew or exhibit such hateful, hostile, mean-spirited, callous/insensitive, disrespectful, unwarranted, unnecessary, unreasonable, and everything opposite of what Michael stood for, behavior, not to mention, all because you, yourself, personally, prefer Freddie Mercury over Michael. I am not, 9 out of 10 times, the type of person to make a definitive judgment on someone’s entire character based on one, two, three, even hand fulls of unpleasant, wrongful, or shameful behavior, exhibited attitude, actions made, etc., for several reasons, but most significantly being, that human beings are incredibly complex, complicated, multi-layered, and ever-evolving and growing and should not get defined or indefinitely labeled as an all-around “shit person” because they made bad choices throughout periods of their lives; I, however, am utterly baffled by the way that some specific fans, and not only of Michael but any artist/celebrity/social figure, in general, choose to act when engaging with others in regards to said artist, which, in this case, involves specific fans of Michael’s. There is zero logical, sensible, reasonable, justified, valid, or rational excuse for conducting oneself with such negativity and mean-spiritedness, let alone in a situation like this; the only thing, however, that I could somewhat contribute their behavior to is them being either very young and immature, which I'm hoping that is the case, seeing as we all can look back as adults at times in our lives which make us think, “what in the actual fuck was I thinking,” or they are entirely aloof, out of touch with reality, lacking solid morals, or, at least, lacking the understanding and awareness on not only how to engage with others, but how to treat others, regardless of differencing views or likes. I hate to be so blunt, straightforward, and “brutally honest, ” so to speak, regarding the other two individuals behavior; sometimes, however, it takes someone who, very simply, wishes and wants everyone to become their best selves, for we all deserve it, as well as someone who finds the vast level of hate being, continuously, displayed in this world, which, often, social media comment sections are the prime example of how much hatred, negativity, arrogance, self-serving, and, overall, heart-wrenching behavior is on display. Smh. You didn't deserve to get spoken to like that and on behalf of someone who is a “fan” [I say it like that, and not because I'm not a genuine fan/admirer, but for personal indifferences with the current meaning behind and associated behavior to that term, especially, nowadays.] of Michael’s, as well as Freddie/Queen’s, which, although, more so Michael’s, I would like to say that I am sorry that you got subjected to such petty, unreasonable, nonsensical, immature, and downright wrong responses. Now, as far as what your response was, or reasoning, I should say, for what you believe to be reasons for why you place Freddie above Michael, which, you are more than entitled to personally view Freddie as the “better” or more “well-rounded.” artist, obviously, so lol, all I can genuinely say is that the only elements that are incorrect or “invalid, ” which you very well could have based your sentiments on misinformation or lack of enough sufficient and adequate research, are the notions that “Michael didn't do rock,” “Michael only did pop music,” “Michael didn't do country, ” which, on that note, most artists, outside of those who are primarily/solely country artists, don't make country music, same with metal, and that “Michael didn't play any instruments.”. As I mentioned regarding the country and metal music statement, most artists, throughout music history, unless they are country or heavy metal artists explicitly, do not venture into making country music, let alone metal, out of the blue, lol. Now, Michael, without a doubt, had a love and respect for all music, including country music, which is a lot of what the Jackson's grew up on, and started learning how to play before they got signed, officially, to Motown, so, therefore, it's not like Michael didn't know country music quite well, in general. I've got nothing as far as the heavy metal/metal music goes, other than I would not be, in the least bit, surprised if Michael listened to metal music as well, lol. As far as rock, soul, gospel, and r&b music goes with Michael, heck, even elements of classical music, Michael, undeniably, had all of it throughout his career, if you, however, were to take the time to dive into Michael’s entire discography diligently, you would be able to see that your notion regarding Michael being “strictly pop music,” which, pop music isn't technically a genre of music, for even rap can fall under the pop category since pop music is popular music, is not as accurate or valid as you thought, or even accurate or valid, whatsoever. As far as the whole instrument playing goes, did Michael play an instrument to the level of other musicians who play instruments in their group, band, etc.? No, however, there is a plethora of documented interviews with a multitude of different artists, producers, engineers, and so on who worked with Michael that confirm that not only could Michael play a little bit of this instrument and a little bit of that instrument, but that Michael, himself, was the instruments. There is a profound reason why the best of the best of the best in the music industry not only agree upon but vocalize that Michael Jackson was every bit of a musical genius and the greatest of all time, which that does not take away from Freddie’s genius in music either, or even Prince, and others. I was born in the ‘80s, so Michael Jackson and Queen were every bit of my life growing up, and still, to this day, continue to be elements of the musical art in my life. Michael and Freddie were both incredibly talented musicians/artists. People need to start realizing that one can favor one over the other and not coincidingly devalue or dismiss the other's overall talent, especially when discussing the two side-by-side. I understand that the two fans of Michael’s actions/reactions to your innocent comment initially were reactions that, somewhat reasonably so, would cause someone to get defensive and therefore lash out right back about the opposite artist in question. I see this shit of people disrespecting, devaluing, ridiculing, minimizing, and dismissing another artist’s talents to defend or boost another artist happening all of the time. It is just pretty childish, as well as mean for no reason, lol. Not to mention that the insults or jabs that people throw around about whatever specific artist at the time has entirely no leg and validity to stand on, lol. I strongly encourage you, for the purest and kindest of intentions and reasons, to dig into the countless interviews with people in the industry about Michael, as well as listen to as much of Michael’s discography, song-by-song, as you can, for I have no doubts that you will come out with a different perspective and overall view on just exactly multi-faceted and wildly talented of a musician/artist Michael was and will always be.

Ohhh my two favourite singers MJ and Freddie ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I loved Michaels music since I was a young girl aged 7 or 8 so plus 40 years. He is perfection for me, but and this is a big but Freddie is right behind MJ. I absolutely love Freddie’s voice he is so talented like a musical singer. But MJ’s voice and his smile and kind eyes just captured my heart first. You guys should react to In the closet accapella by MJ 😂😂 I would love to hear your reaction on this cause it’s a naughty song 😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Really enjoyed wTching all of you interacting and enjoying both artists. However, songs showing both artists best vocals were not represented. Of course, choosing the “best” is really a personal opinion. Did you know MJ was not a Queen fan, but a Freddie fan, attending all their Forum concerts? They even collaborated on 2 songs: THERE MUST BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS, and STATE OF SHOCK. State of Shock was never completed due to Queen’s World touring, so Freddie consented to MJ recording/releasing it with MJ & Mick Jagger. If it’s about vocals only, Freddie is the best due to his range and changing his voice to match each song, all genres - including Opera!! He even spit bars on his song STONE COLD CRAZY, live at the Rainbow 🌈 in 1974. Thrash Metal before it was ever “invented”! All the Best to you all! 😊

It's kind of a circular argument as to who is the best, because it's really just a matter of opinion. I'm of the "If it sounds good to you, it IS good to you" school of thought. 😊💜💚💛✌️

I just say that whoever produced the challenge paid more attention to MJ, looking after the songs more. for the FM side it will be enough to enter the name in the KZbin search and choose the first 6/7 songs. do you create a challenge with MJ and use a soft song like Killer Queen or Your my best friend? they just don't really know what FM can offer so the challenge is useless. end

You guys look like a lot of fun to hang out with. I think were there some strange and bad song choices here on both sides for such a comparison. Freddie Mercury's voice was more versatile, and his voice was great right until his death. You guys should check out Barcelona from Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe kzbin.info/www/bejne/npzWnKigfJWIj8U. This song is a tour de force of vocals all around. Of course Michael was great as well, sometimes it depends on your taste.
