The World's Finest Motorcycle Destination

On Sunday morning, Monika and I headed off to see where and how the local motorcyclists of Tenerife have fun!
I almost collapsed through over excitement when we arrived at the biker coffee spot at the start of the run! There were hundreds of bikers grabbing their coffees before heading up into the hills!🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍☕️🤘🏻🤘🏻
And to see hundreds of different bikes whizzing around the mountains of Tenerife was a very very special thing to witness. From sports motorbikes to Harley Davidsons and classics- there was a bit of everything, although the motorbikes of choice are definitely the sports bikes
I did a walk around of the different bikes, and we showed what it’s like in the mountains of Tenerife on any Sunday morning!😀🏍🗻🙌🏻
It was a genuinely unforgettable day and I hope you enjoy it!

I’ve ridden one a few times, great fun cruiser style bike. My only complaint is the lack of ground clearance when cornering. If you enjoy scraping pegs around every corner then you’ll love the bike, if not then I’m sure the aftermarket can get you sorted out. Good luck and have fun!

How do the fat bobs compare to the fat boys? I am a sort of older laid back comfort rider who travels huge distances, hopefully in good weather. Not a sports rider, at my age, but just that Harley tick over throb to make sweet music!

Cheers Freddie and Monika. We had a place on Treef for last 18 years now sold and regretting the sale. First visited in 1984 and remember cars with bald tyres no bonnets and accident damage all over. Dogs roaming everywhere. We got something like 249 pesetoes to the pound and everything seemed really excellent value. Managed to write off a Fiat Panda on a palm tree. I absolutely love Treef. Visited Tenerife for the first time in ‘17, rented a car a drove all over in the several weeks we were there (wife and our two pre-teen boys), so seeing these views again is just so nice. Another fantastic vlog. Ur infectious enthusiasm coupled with superb camera and editing. That jacket reaminds me of my first (2nd hand) belstaff waxes jacket. Superb uk garment. No need for separate waterproofs. Bought a FS1e in 1974 as well as battered open face helmet, goggles and the belstaff. Bike 1 year old all for £150😂. It had done 20000 miles on a 50cc 2 stroke in a year. It was in beautiful condition but knackered. My Dad (engineering owner) showed me how to strip it rebore to 80cc new piston rings. Rejetted carb and would pull 60mph. It was envy of other 50cc owners and felt fast😂😂😂 . Owned either one or more motorcycles all my life since 1974. The truth is if what you ride makes you happy then that is the brotherhood and happiness of motorcycling. Dont feel embarrassed about your bonnie, its a great tool for where you are and indeed anywhere. If you sell you will regret, buy another but keep that one. There are so many I wish I had kept. I may have said it before on your vlog. My favourite bike of my life or maybe two. A yamaha dt175 2 stroke scrambler fast up to 55 on foad but could rip up green lanes and off road too. Then there was my vfr800 fi. Owned for 22 yrs. it has less corrosion than many. 2-3 yr old uk bikes. Built to last. Just like the Bonnie

Funny seeing all the bikes in context out the wild. Funny in which ones stand out. The Brutale looked kinda ho-hum away from the studio/showroom lights, just one of the racer cookie cutters. The 2 standouts for me (apart from the almost antique VFR) were the Harley Street Bob and the semi-naked Suzuki GSX-S. Opposite ends of the spectrum but they just looked special even amoungst the crowds. I think your Bonneville looks handsome too and I think it's the panniers that do it. A cool twist.

That first bike that you said, "i'm not sure what it is" is the bike that I ride..., Suzuki VL1500 Intruder LC. They were only produced in that form from 1998 - 2004. Now modernised and only sold as a Boulevard. It was/is most popular in the States Very laid back bike with enormous torque reserves and great for the long haul from Switzerland to UK and back with the pillion pad, sissybar and panniers mounted.

Well, a new year, let’s hope this one is better than the last. A very Happy New Year to you and Monika from David and Edward. A fantastic start to 22, if you keep this up we will have to extend the holiday even more 😳 I loved the look at all the bikes especially the white VFR750, one of my favourite bikes which sadly Zi had to give up because the riding position was killing my wrists 😢 Your lunch looked fantastic, especially the soup and mushrooms. I was noticing the TF bikers don’t seem to ‘Nod’ but do a finger wave. I’ve noticed here in UK there are many more bikers not bothering to ‘Nod’ which is sad. What beautiful scenery, the only thing missing was a New Year smile from Monika 😘 Freddie, I noticed on your ignition key you had quite a few keys; presumedly perhaps your door key, garage bike locks? It’s quite a vulnerable position and, out of site. If the key fob broke and your keys fell off you may not notice for a good while. You would have no chance of retracing your steps and finding them. May I suggest just the ignition key on the bike and all your other keys on a clip key ring attached in a pocket. Just thinking of your comfort/safety. Great vid. Keep em coming. David/Edward 👍

Thanks Freddie, I drove these roads in October sadly in a terrible hire Zafira. I used to ride and it was an amazing place as you say, next time I will hire a bike for sure. The roads are snooker table smooth, no wet leaves or diesel spills and very few side roads.

390 Duke: same colour as mine. Great bikes. 7:55 It isn't a Gladius, but I don't know what it is. It used to be High Beach on a Sunday for me. Same temperature and blue skies in the far north of Thailand. Zero humidity. The best time of the year. Another very good video, both of you.

The two bikes you called Gladius were actually Suzuki GSR600. Pretty unremarkable bikes, used for commuters and training schools alike but never as popular as the Bandits. I've always liked them for the undertail exhaust though, gives them a really clean rear three quarter. Looks like a great spot and with the Tenerifian weather you can't beat it.

Yeah you arrived just in time to see all those bikers brilliant could not have planned it better great video the jacket reminds of wax cotton bellstaff, I think that’s what it’s called was great in the wet weather in the uk commuting to work on my Honda 250 twin probably 1985 model I think.decent pockets are rare in motorcycle jackets I have now.where are you going next ? Wouldn’t be great to just keep travelling
