Fantastic video. Great information. Top quality and very enjoyable to watch. I know nothing about cars. My second car was a nova you are right they were called Opel in Spain. I first went to Tenerife in 1989. I recall thinking gosh these people don’t have to deal with rust on cars like us. You summed it up well here. We loved Tenerife so much back in 1989 would loved to have done what you did. But then we found other places , other challenges , children. Enjoyed watching your trip by road in Spain. We must have done similar trips down France and Spain maybe a dozen times over the years. Only thing was we had three children in the back. Plus we had an additional boat to figure out what way to get from Northern Ireland to the mainland and back on the return. You edit it all really well. The joy of travel and the freedom to make your own decisions. Keep making the videos. Great quality and thanks.

I do hope the German guy is safe and well and off La Palma, with hope he’ll come to Tenerife and settle there, be great if you did see him again. I do love Tenerife, I’ve been going since 1996, unfortunately not every year. After you had your Baraquito and stopped off at that “Car Park”, as you took your helmet off, just as you had it down at your side with the view in the background, that would be a photo I’d be proud of.

I used to own a Cortina Mk 3 estate with mushrooms growing out of the carpet. I also owned a Cortina Mk 4, a Vauxhall Chevette, a 1980's Vauhall Astra and a Peugot 405. I learned to drive in a Renault 16 with the gear change on the steering column. Good car. They all had manual chokes apart from the 405.

We stayed in Los Gigantes on our last holiday before Covid. Took bus down to El Medano and spent the day there, cracking place. Hope you enjoy your time there, would love to go back again. Our holiday was September 19, 5 months before Covid kicked off, strangely we were warned of a virus in Los Gig and hand sanitising stations were everywhere along with guidance to wash hands frequently and advised use wipes to disinfect surfaces.🤔

i lived in ibiza for 7 years and used to see a lot of old cars often still driving around the island but sometimes just sat wasting on private land. renault 5 gt's were a common sight, the odd opel manta etc. im very jealous of your new place i miss spain terribly.

Ohh wow, what a lovely apartment! It already looks like such an amazing place to ride too. Can't wait to see you explore the island. Word of advice from my girlfriend who's worked on Tenerife for quite some time: bikes do get stolen, a lot. Quite recently the police even cracked down on a large group of criminals stealing motorcycles. They managed to recover 54 (!!) bikes, but I imagine a far greater number of bikes had already been parted out and sold. So please be careful, I'd hate to see something happen to your bike.

Adore the retro cars shown in your video, really took me back a couple of decades, after passing my driving test my first car was a Metallic Blue Vauxhall Nova SR, boy I wished I’d kept it, it was in stunning condition, 3rd car I had was a Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider in Blue with only 24,000 miles on the clock, so I appreciate & thank you both for taking time out to show your love for cars from our beloved past, once again keep up the quality videos & take care on those roads, looking forward to your next update, take care of each other⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really enjoyed all three videos. It’s always the best way to travel. I’m a pilot and regularly fly from Stansted to Tenerife south in fact I’m flying there this Friday morning. Another great video, Freddie. The big rock (Montaña Roja) can be climbed via a path from the El Medano side. The side you can see from your apartment has a nudist beach right in the shadow of the rock. Can't wait for the next video!

If you take a bottle of water and some crisps on the climb, you can sit out of the wind at the top, put some water into the bottle cap and watch dozens of small lizards come out to drink and eat crisps.

Hello there. Enjoying your videos. My wife and I try to holiday every year in the Canaries. My sister has an apartment in Lanzarote. We have booked a holiday in Fuerteventurer next month. My wife and I are planning to spend the winter months in the Canaries when we retire so I'm looking forward to see how you get on. I also take a look at any of the older cars on the Canary islands that haven't had to withstand the British winters (particularly here in not so sunny South Wales) and dissolved into nothing! Stayed in El Medano for 3 nights. In the afternoon the wind builds up off the African coast, making El Medano a paradise for wind and kite surfers. The rock promontory at the southern end is a lava vent extending out from from El Tiede. I got a taste for octopus in the restaurants. Magellan pulled into the natural harbour on his trip around the East Indies.

We recently did a biking trip to Devon and are now here in Tenerife, but also staying in El Medano, we were really surprised when we noticed your video said the same location. Then we saw you sat on the sea front drinking those lovely Barraquitos and couldn’t believe that we had been sat at exactly the same table only a couple of hours earlier!! Looks incredible mate. I moved myself this past weekend but sadly my one hasn't ended up in such a pleasant environment. Stepping stones and all that I guess (specifically the loose buggers that guarantee a dunk into the water). Love the Vlog, we had our honeymoon forty years ago at Playa de las Américas at the Las Palmeras Hotel we remember that everything was and i quote "endemic to these islands" according to our tour guide. personally i would not risk leaving the bike or anything unlocked. stay safe keep the vlogs comming as i brings back very happy memories of our honeymoon. Our stomping ground, we have an apartment in Fairways just up the road, (we rent it out) But we were out there the other week for 2 weeks, it was so windy, overcast most of the time and rained lol But it's still great to go there and relax :D The apartment looks great :D

The Nova is called Corsa all over the rest of Europe. Lots of cars has other names outside England. The latest version of the Granada(early 90th´s) was called Scorpio, Vauxhal Carlton was named Opel Omega etc. :-) Greetings from Sweden

Nice video! A little correction: It is not the highest point in Europe, but Mt. Teide is the highest in Spain with 3715 m. Highest in westewrn Europe is Mt. Blanc (France) with 4809 m and highest in all of Europe is Elbrus in Caucasus (Russia) with 5642 m

You should get your petrol at the Los Abrigos round-about by the motorway. And on Saturdays and Sundays. Prices drop by 6-10 cents on these days. Could be different days of the week in other petrol stations. 2 weeks ago, petrol was 0.98 eur / L. Enjoy!
