I'll never forgive Scott for breaking my heart when the dying puppet hugs the child in the end...
@rpware15643 жыл бұрын
For me, it genuinely packed such an emotional punch. Most mini-games before followed the formula of "perfectly innocent until dark twist / reveal at the end". In this one however, not only did we know from the beginning that something isn't right, we also knew _exactly_ how it would end, as our job was to save a familiar child in a familiar situation from a death that we *knew* hadn't been prevented. It's such a helpless feeling. In a way, we get a taste of how Henry felt after he lost his daughter. We know he created the puppet specifically to protect his daughter; as such, the puppet's point of view in this minigame could be correspondent to Henry's own point of view. Notice how we weren't shown _how_ the daughter was killed, nor by whom. Because at this point in time, it was still a complete mystery to Henry. He was grief-stricken, and there was no explanation for a tragedy he took so many measures against. (To this day, we still don't know who put the box over the Puppets lid, whether delaying its rescue mission was premeditated or not, and how Charlie even got herself locked outside in the first place) Regardless, I personally thought the exclusion of the murderer (and his technique) was brilliant, as it places a greater emphasis on the tragedy itself, rather than the perpetrator. It is pure grief captured in an 8-bit mini-game. I know a lot of people criticized this cutscene for not revealing new information (how we already knew that the crying child in the alleyway _was_ the puppet and whatnot), but I don't think that was the point. What I'm about to say is probably controversial, but in my opinion, this game's remastering of the "Take Cake to the Children" mini-game from FNAF 2 is far more superior. On a surface-level, it's the same exact scene, reveals the exact same information, but on a emotional level, this one has subtlety and sentimental depth. On a side note, I'm willing to bet Henry intentionally programmed the puppet's "characteristics" to be similar to his own daughter's. That's why it hugged her at the end, to comfort her in her dying moments. It's reminiscent of "carrying others into your arms", which is exactly how Henry describes the Puppet/ his daughter in the final scene.

I think the reason why the cutscenes have that certain feel is all in the colors and details. The flat, one-note colors and textures give it the corporate feel, while the detail in the drawings themselves give it personality. Also, the hidden area from Midnight Motorist's theme is a jam
@mariangela_joaopedro2613 жыл бұрын
There's also some popular fan theories that you forgot to mention in this video: •The most accepted answer to who are the Gravestones in the lorekepper ending is that these are the gravestones of the Missing Children Incident victims, because the gravestones practically perfectly lines up with the classic animatronics heads at the end of FNaF 3. And with that we might know what the children's names are and which animatronics each child possesses: Gabriel = Freddy Fritz = Foxy Susie = Chica Jeremy = Bonnie •Speaking of the lorekepper ending people also think that the gravestone in the back is Henry's daughter gravestone and most people think that the name written in that gravestone is "Charlotte" since that was Henry's daughter name in The Silver Eyes Trilogy •This is more of a minor theory, but still, people think that the girl on the Fruity Maze minigames is Susie, since the girl that appears the minigame is very similar to how Susie is described in The Fouth Closet •Midnight motorist is speculated to happen a little after the Security Puppet minigame, since in the files for the midnight motorist minigame there's the title "later that night" and the other minigame in FNaF 6 that happens at night is the Security Puppet minigame •[Spoilers for the Fouth Closet] There's also a theory called "Molten MCI" that says the Funtimes have remmant of the Missing Children Incident victims, because in the The Fourth Closet Willam injects the MCI victims remmant in the Funtimes (also the Freddy Files and the Candy Cadet stories implies that). If that's the case then the Happiest Day minigame has to happen at least after FNaF 6 since the souls couldn't be free because still parts of their souls would still be trapped in Molten Freddy and Scrap Baby, also in Dawko's interview with Scott, Dawko asks Scott what which FNaF 3 ending is canon, and he said that most people might not like the answer and that "It's complicated", meaning that Happiest Day could have been retconned to happen after FNaF 6

You don't even realize that you are trapped. (Middle room from map disappears) Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles, chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber always seeming so near, yet somehow out of reach. But you will never find them, none of you will. This is where your story ends. And to you, my brave volunteer, who somehow found this job listing not intended for you, although there was a way out planned for you, I have a feeling that's not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be. I am remaining as well. I am nearby. This place will not be remembered (FNAF 1 footage appears in the background behind the screen) and the memory of everything that started this can finally begin to fade away, (FNAF 2 footage replaces the FNAF 1 footage) as the agony of every tragedy should. (Burning Scrap Baby appears on the screen) And to you monsters trapped in the corridors, be still, (FNAF 2 footage is replaced with a buring texture) and give up your spirits. They don't belong to you. (Burning Molten Freddy replaces Scrap Baby) For most of you, I believe there is peace and perhaps more waiting for you after the smoke clears. (Burning Springtrap/William Afton replaces Molten Freddy) Although for one of you, the darkest pit of hell has opened to swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting old friend. (Screen goes black, burning texture still in the background) My daughter, if you can hear me, I knew you would return as well. It's in your nature to protect the innocent. (TCTTC minigame appears on screen) I'm sorry that on that day, the day you were shut out and left to die, (TCTTC is replaced with a new 8 bit view from inside the TCTTC location showing a sad child locked outside with two happy children inside and a giant gift box) no one was there to lift you up into their arms, the way you lifted others into yours. (8 bit view is replaced with another 8 bit view of an alleyway with posters and trash alongside the body of a dead child) And then, what became of you? (View of the Prize corner from FNAF 2 appears in the background) I should have known you wouldn't be contempt to just disappear, not my daughter. I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now. While Fnaf 6 is great, I was kinda disappointed how we never got to hear any more lines from Michael. Apart from SL, we never knew much about this guy, other than he's William Afton's son, and that he's possibly FoxyBro from Fnaf 4. 33:12 it's actually Henry's house. In the Twisted Ones towards the end, once Charlie and John escape from the underground pizzeria, she mentions that this house they are in is in fact her dad's (Henry) Edit: 35:20 from the help of the new Fazbear Frights books, I and a few others have deducted that this is a giant Minireena. The reason being the 3rd book series "1:35 A.M", in the second book titled "Room For One More" a night guard gets visited my Minireena dolls and then doses off on his job, while in his sleep he experiences horrific nightmares of the funtime animatronics, to which he has never encountered. Each time he has a nightmare, a minireena crawls inside his mouth and stuffs themselves in his body. The last nightmare he has is of Ballora in a nurse outfit preparing tools for an operation a doctor will commit, while he is strapped to a table. The doctor moves in and it is revealed to be a giant version of the Minireena dolls he kept on seeing.
@SaitoSite3 жыл бұрын
The books aren't at all canon to the games. It's not Henry's house. Fazbear's Frights, while being made to help solve the lore, only do so with metaphors. Not actual events. Though it still is likely to be a giant Minireena, simply because of the facial structure. Literally nothing else hints towards it, though.
@DrMako-jo6bf3 жыл бұрын
@@SaitoSite the books are canon and not Canon at the same time as the events were altered in order to fit a retelling. The fazbear frights books were mentioned by Scott that some are and aren't actually canon. So some events may actually happen. I say it's a giant Minireena, cause the mask in Night 4 of SL does feature a lot of similarities of a minireena doll, it isn't Scrap Baby cause the eye holes are different and the mouth is lower, can't be Funtime Chica, cause 1, we don't know if Funtime Chica can remove her beak, but it's most likely that she can't, and 2 the eye holes. The description from the book is too similar to not be this character.

These have all been fantastic to watch. I really appreciate how thoughtful and well-researched you are with all of these! And your enthusiasm really shines through, especially with your intros of escalating complexity ;) I'm VERY excited about your suggestion of a retrospective on the books-- no one ever talks about them! I love them to bits, and I think they're all really fascinating. Obviously you couldn't analyze them the same way as a game, but literary analysis is still fun to watch and discuss! I think the books really made the series events feel more grounded and real-- like, these are REAL LOSSES that the surrounding community FEELS, this was a REAL COMPANY with a COMPLICATED HISTORY, and despite being in a different timeline with slightly different character line-ups, you still SEE how it shakes both the Afton and Emily families. Charlie Emily's a really compelling protagonist too, so that makes up for the absence of Michael Afton, in some regards. But WHATEVER you do, I'll be happy to see it! The important thing is that you do what *you* wanna do, and you can't go wrong there. Thank you for all the hard work you've put in so far!

Would definitely like to see a video on Help Wanted. Particularly as it ended up having quite a bit to it, more than just being a VR recreation of the older games. It may not be very old, but... eh honestly that doesnt really matter. Besides, it might be helpful in reminding players of what has happened with that story so far, in the build-up to Security Breach. Not to mention the players that never got to play it... it WAS a VR exclusive for a long while, and I'm betting a lot of people missed out because of that. So a video covering it might be useful to them too. Anyway, just a thought.
@NabrinaBlue3 жыл бұрын
I agree completely. I was a little disappointed at how quickly he dismissed Help Wanted and AR/Special Delivery as not having relevant lore. We don't know a lot about Security Breach yet, but given what we do know, it seems likely that all three are somewhat related. Maybe he'll consider talking about them, either separately or combined, once Security Breach has been out long enough to warrant a retrospective.

I really sincerely miss the feeling I had when I beat this game on my own time, free from spoilers and no clue what was ahead and discovering all the secrets. And the feeling of Shock and Awe at the true ending brought me to tears... this game was an absolutely amazing “finale” to the original series of games made exclusively by Scott and remains my favorite out of the main 6
@selmabahy90273 жыл бұрын
This game will forever be my favorite FNaF game. The overall ambience and feeling of closure adds a lot of tension during gameplay. Like Sagan said, the “happy” tycoon part of the game still has a lot of underlying horror. You know what’s coming and that feeling of dread is just, overpowering. Not to mention, Henry Emily is such an interesting character. He has a sense of heroism and I feel like listening to the cassette tapes just fills the player with a sense of vengeance. This game really drives the overall point of the story home. So many lives were ruined because of one person. One person who caused a tragic butterfly effect filled with suffering and isolation. The music in this game is absolutely amazing, too. The secret car mini-game in Midnight Motorist has what I think is one of the best soundtracks in the franchise, Smashing Windshields. The fruit minigames’ transition from innocence to dread as you see the child’s face slowly evolve from happiness to uneasiness is something I don’t think I’ll be able to forget. And honestly, I think Helpy is becoming a pretty iconic character to the games as well. This game, in my opinion, perfectly balances occasional comedy with fear and I really applaud Scott for that. If you’ve read up to this point, thank you, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for these games!

William always comes back,which he proves in help wanted and security breach

Pizzeria Simulator is my favourite of the six "classic" FNaF titles made by Scott on his own. It is certainly the one i enjoyed playing the most, seeing as i spent thrice the amount of time on it compared to the others. It just feels so... complete. The juxtaposition between the cheery, funny simulator bits to the cold tension of the office and salvage segments is superb. Old enemies returning for their final bout (in terms of being actually themselves and not a fictional recreation like in AR and Help Wanted) is just cool in general. It also happens to be the only game in the series that i have yet to beat, not because it is more difficult than the others, but rather because having more than one animatronic active in the office segment simply inspires a dread in me that's worse than in the other games.
