UFC 161: Evans vs. Henderson was a mixed martial arts event held on June 15, 2013, at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
While the UFC has hosted several events in the past in Canada, the event was the first that the organization has hosted in Manitoba.
The event was expected to feature an Interim Bantamweight Championship bout between the current champion Renan Barão, and former WEC Bantamweight Champion and top contender Eddie Wineland. However, on May 21 it was confirmed that Barão had pulled out of the bout, citing a foot injury. With, Barão's departure, Wineland was removed from the card as well. As a result, the scheduled bout between Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson was moved up the card and served as the headliner in a three-round bout.
For Evans, his footwork and speed were the deciding factors.
He moved much quicker than Henderson, particularly in the third round when Henderson seemed to slow due to exhaustion. Evans moved around much more than Henderson and worked a larger variety of angles, while Henderson continually moved in straight lines while looking for his big signature right hand.
Rashad Evans' split-decision win over Dan Henderson in the main event of UFC 161 showed he seemingly still had plenty to give the fight game.

Rashan Evan's biggest win. The fight was spectacular. Looked like a perfect match. Rashan on the rising and Hendo as a solid legend. Rashan showed nice boxing skills but he also got lucky from not being hit by that 'one punch' power of Henderson.

"Rashan" was not on the rising in 2013. He was losing lots of fight after the Jones loss and only got one last win after this fight against chael, and it was all losses after in the ufc. He was on the rising in the mid 2000s. Here he is an old legend like hendo on his way out
