I know Terry talked about his issues and I think it created a shyness in him and mistrust of others. He always looked a little bit restless, troubled and somewhat angry at times, which is a shame because the lads and him brought so much joy to so many people. Thanks for that little interview Tim, appreciated. Shame we lost Terry too soon. Top Red.

RIP the brilliant Terry Hall…Legend. One of the UK’s greatest ever singer songwriters, and so influential when I was growing up in the West Midlands in the late 70’s, early 80’s. A true genius.

What a class dynamic ! Terry Hall is always going to be a big opponent however, always enigmatic ! Long live the 70's / 80's

Poor Terry must be so frustrating talking to shiny young musicians with no clue of the raw dynamic electrifying days of mods and skinheads…days when music making was interactive, surprising and exciting. I expect Terrys glad to have moved on. But it’s gutting to lose his genius just as it is gutting to lose the exciting and sincere days of innovative unpretentious youth music culture. Love you Terry Hall and thank you for your poetry, music and personal loveliness. 🤍🤍🤍

Rest in peace legend, and legends never die one thing I do notice about him, it seems like he was going through depression most of his life ..I don't think it's just me ..it's quite noticeable ..I hope he is happy now...

he was sexually abused when he was 12 when taken to france on a school trip, and the other reason is because he was very intelligent and hated what was going on in the world, his Fun Boy Three lyrics reveal alot of Terrys genius, and also his 2 solo albums home and laugh.
The Specials naturally followed on from The Clash in terms of youth culture hybrid of punk, rockabilly and reggae and political statement at the time. This was my entry to youth culture in 79/80 having been a bit young to get into the initial punk scene which was watered down and commercialised by 1979. The mix of Jamaican dub/ska with punk fascinated and inspired me. We will never see the likes of this again. RIP Terry.

Terry is dead on about discovering new music, even with the Spotify release radars you can still be lazy about consuming it.

I’m a massive Charlatans fan and flirted with the whole Two Tone Scene along with various other music styles back in the day as well including of course The Specials. Wonderful viewing two of my music heroes in casual conversation, two guys who in their own bands have done so much for music. 🙂It’s particularly poignant watching this in light of Terry Halls recent very sad passing. He will be sorely missed. ☹️

Felt awkward but you could tell it's 2 genuine friends who then have to act in front of the camera. They were kinda forced to do something, and it probably felt unnatural to them. You could see though, that they are really good blokes though. Love them both! 2 great artist! Great music never dies!!!
