I tried to take away the suffering of my ex-gf ahead of time for a year and half. She spontaneously had an awakening experience after we broke up and now we're much more in sync than we have ever been during the relationship. Now she is the one wanting to "wake up" everyone around her. Funny how these things work. I love the "everything works backwards from what we think / perceive it is" idea, great food for inquiry. Fred, I always enjoy the manner in which you convey the truth: that that which is aware of what is perceived (sensations, thoughts, feelings, etc.)is exactly what we are! Hi, Will. This is an answer to another question you had, which isn't showing on my YT account at the moment. What you really are is prior to consciousness. It is prior to thought, experience, or language. No-thing is the mother of everything. What do you remember prior to the Will unit's birth? I suspect it's the same thing I remember prior to the Fred unit's birth: nothing! Consciousness and form are hand in glove.

@@FredDavisNonduality Hmm okay thanks Fred. So there's no such thing as pure consciousness? i.e. consciousness with no form. This seems to contradict what some people say. I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but Rupert Spira for example seems to suggest consciousness exists prior to any manifestation... And if consciousness is an arising, if there's a "beyond" consciousness, then how can we possibly know that's the case, if the only way we can know something is by being aware of it...

Yes you're damn right ! The labelled-thought "body" can't decay as matter doesn't exist : mere condensed energy :-) In a dream : "eye" "ear" arms" "legs" don't exist : only Awareness. In pouring emptiness into the "hologram-body", I get a divine luminous transparent hologram => the divine leg of God, the divine arm of God, the divine eye of God. A divine hologram of God : 1 single divine Aware "body" = the whole dream / the whole universe :-) And that's good news a relief ! Thank you.

You can baby talk me anytime! There's something to that. I wonder about the belief (imagined that a baby comes to) that what "i" can move is part of me. So "you" moving your hands and "your" mouth means you're not me. ANY idea of control just has to be experienced as a "me". It is equally true "you" are typing with these fingers right now no differently than "your" voice is created in concert with the ears that heard it, "mine!". I use "you", "me", and "control" in an endless tail-chase to keep one prooving the other! We never got out of the terrible-twos, we're still playing with the same toys!

Grief and pain feel very real. My close friend lost her 24 year old son recently (he killed himself). I feel deeply for her. All these units (or robots, as I see us all) exist - just not in the way some of us think of them, as separate entities, is that true? How can I (or anyone) console my friend?

That's right. We can say that units are as true as anything else. And our interactions COUNT. Some are even IMPORTANT. But, in the final analysis, we can let ourselves and everyone else off the hook by noticing that nothing MATTERS. But it still COUNTS! Be with your friend. Listen to her. I would not share nondual teachings with her; they will not be understood, and probably be hurtful.

Fred, I have a serious request. Would it be possible for you to do a video or a blog post on the Vastness? It seems when I had my awakening, I kinda bypassed it, and went straight to Oneness. Could you explain the view from vastness, and why or how so many seem to get stuck there? And how is it that someone could be at that level, yet still feel like they "have the whole thing"? I wouldn't ask, but since you have said relatively little about this, it may provide clarity for many of your students and viewers, not just me, and it may help many from getting stuck there. Hi Fred I have a question for you that is not easy to find the answer and it’s in regards of pain emotions .. here there is recognition of non-self except when pain emotions are present like fear ,to be anxious ,sad etc. It feels bad and there is resistance that appears , There is a feeling like ‘ if there’s nobody it shouldn’t be this way ‘ And finally it intensified the feeling off being a self :(

Awakening is not about eradicating emotions, or any other kind of dream manipulation. Granted, there is nothing quite like pain of any kind to bring about reidentification of the body, but the misidentification is the problem, not the pain. This unit is in physical pain most of the day, but I don't have a story that it shouldn't be in pain, therefore there is no psychological suffering attached to it. Pain does not fall within the unit's preferences, but I, Awakeness, am okay with it and everything else.

To awake is like the person in the desert running to the fata morgana and jumping in, then there is a revelation that not only the person, but also the fata morgana does not and did never exist and there is only ever sand. And it is not the person discovering this, but the sand (oneness). So the desert drops the illusion (virtual program) of the fata morgana (which includes the running person) and reality re-appears (sand). Sand is neverything. Sand we are and to sand we will awake. Sand includes the apparent running person and is fine with that, but now knows it to be a play. That is freedom. Remember: Sand = Self and non duality 😉

Hey Fred. Love your enthusiasm. I don't see a way to logically prove that "awakeness" and "oneness" aren't just produced by the body. Why assume that the body occurs within awakeness, just because that's how it seems to you right now? If I'm colorblind, it seems like the world is black and white, but it's not. See my point? Either could be true ... awakeness is produced by the body or the body occurs within awakeness. I suppose if you gathered research showing that psychic ability is real, that would show that awakeness is aware of things outside of the body, which would tend to support your contention. Hey Fred. My body seems to coincide with consciousness, but does this mean that consciousness can't be produced by a body? Does this prove that consciousness is prior to everything? Lots of things can seem to be true that aren't. It seems like the world is flat :) That said, I think that your perspective is obviously more conducive to awakening, since a person is not believing in a bunch of separate things then, but I still can't logically prove that it's true.
