I have the same problem with my 2007 V6 EXL Cruise System. Just so I understand what you did, did you simply remove the spring to fix the problem? And, does the cruise light stay on constantly even if it is not engaged. Thanks.

We switched out the switch and that wasn’t it. The main button comes on but the cruise button won’t. Any ideas?

Why not do it right . The bulb will eventually burn out and then you will have to go into the dash . The penny was a better idea.
