Hello, I'm curious about how remote work functions. Do companies have a specific schedule for work hours, or is it more flexible where you can work at any time as long as the work is completed within the day? Additionally, can working part-time help remove the apprenticeship status, just like it happens with full-time work? For instance, if I work part-time for 24 months, will the A be removed, or does it still take 12 months, even when working part-time? I hope I have explained everything clearly. I am new to medical coding and trying to transition into this field while keeping my current full-time job in a different industry.

Had a question about the CMS WBT. On the webpage at the top it says "We no longer offer continuing education credits for our web-based training (WBT) courses." So can I assume that this applies to medical coders?

They do not apply for credit - they need to be manually added to your CEU tracker with no index number.

Oh wow! I didn't know that about the corporate membership! I was paid until August of 2025 but now my membership is due August of 2024. So what happens to the money I already paid before I started my coding job?

There isn't a job like medical coding specifically for veterinarians. The whole insurance and billing works differently for pets than it does for humans!

I thought you could roll over CEUs if the excess CEUs are close to your due date.

Only those earned during the same month you are renewing. "CEUs must be earned and submitted within your two-year renewal period. Excess CEUs do not carry over to the next renewal period.
