Skip to 3:45 for the juicy bit!! Also, seemed to get a little interference in my audio at the beginning, sorry about that! Note to self: Turn off phone.

Uncompressed (or Green Valley) AVI w/ Alpha actually performs better in OBS than WEBMs and can be natively exported from Resolve! :)

You can always make your timeline into a compound clip then use the gopro settings to export as alpha, then use ffmpeg to turn into webm 👍🏻

OMG thank you Alex! Im hosting a tournament this Weekend and i just sat here for several hours trying to figure out why i get weird artifacts and other buggy stuff after exporting, little did i know that you can only use Fusion transitions. Thanks you saved the tournament

Alex you deliver every time. I watched your tutorials and learned Davinci during lockdown. The output was a video I shot and edited for our music duo, called Freedoms Way by The Wood of O, that’s me on guitar and my partner singing. Thanks for everything 🙏

Another very good video Alex. One thing I wanted to just pick up on, for a Mac if you want the ‘Export Alpha’ box to appear on the deliver page then you need to choose ProRes 4444 as that carries an Alpha Channel whereas 422HQ does not, so there’s no box to tick. Equally, Cineform is available on Mac too so that would also work I believe. That was all. You’re an inspiration, mate! 👍🏻

How about showing us how you use OBS for recording screens for use in YT videos? There are so many out there already, but one in your style, with your simple what you need to do format, would be killer! Pretty please!

I was manually making transitions like this in fusion largely the same way, but being able to add the premade edit transitions is so much easier! Thanks for showing us how :D

MVP... you know what I just couldn't figure out but would find quite useful? visualized waveforms from the audiotrack. when you want to upload a podcast to youtube but want to have a little movement in the video and not only plain images.
@MrAlexTech3 жыл бұрын
Hey brah! There is a plugin to do that but you need to download and install Reactor: www.steakunderwater.com/wesuckless/viewtopic.php?t=1775

Iv been enjoying your videos so much, they are so helpful! Now I've been making a stinger following these instructions, but my idea has the fly through font at the end of the transition, which i learn that effect on another video you made, my issue is that I want the font to cut to a transparent background and I cant find the way to do it

Hi MrAlex, i'm totally new to DR and learning it slowly. Thanks to your tips, the edit page doesn't seem scary to me anymore! But don't you dare me to go near the Fusion area, it scares the s*%t outta me. Would you kindly consider doing few segments on Fusion? TIA! 😁👍👍

I was trying to make a half transparent logo appear using Paint On. This tutorial was very helpful, but in addition I had to double click on Paint On once on the Fusion page and drag Alpha channel to 0 on both the White and the Shadow boxes. In case it helps someone!

Years ago on another channel I saw a similar process for making reusable clips with transparency. They recommended DNxHR, if I remember correctly. I'm curious why you chose this format over that one, and if there are use cases within Resolve that would differentiate the two?

Hey so I exported from davinci as a mov which did work in obs but it does have lag like you said. I’m using handbrake to convert to a webm but it no longer has the alpha output. Does handbrake allow you to make the beginning and end transparent?
