you are truely making lives of a lot of shopify users truely easier. i am surprised how and why shopify themselves aren't giving this info or atleast seeing the value you are bringing in... i hope they do!

Once again, another amazing video Emmanuel. Nice to get these things set up in Shopify well in advance before the apocalypse when it stops 😆

Thank you. And absolutely, it's funny how everyone started to panick when Shopify shared the deprecation notification. So I switched to 5th gear.

Thanks for the FREE tutorials. Question - once we connect this for Remarketing, how do we set up an Add to Cart audience, as well as an audience for specific products that were viewed (Dynamic Remarketing I believe)? I'm very new to this, so appreciate any insight you have here.

Follow the instructions here support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2454064?hl=en and choose event as your trigger.

Hello, amazing video, thank you! But, I'm confused, no tag configuration is needed in GTM?? Only the pixel in Shopify??
@feedarmyАй бұрын
This code version sends data directly to Google Ads.

Great video Emmanuel! Can I have this set up alongside my existing remarketing tag or do I need to completely switch over? Please advise, and thanks again.
@feedarmy4 ай бұрын
I recommend a complete switch so that there is no double tracking.

Thanks for the great content. It is a huge help. One question: what if the remarketing country is more than one? For instance, Germany, Austria, France? Also How can I see the if remarketing generate sales or not?
@feedarmy4 ай бұрын
Usually when I setup feeds I use 1 and the same product ID. This to avoid overbloated coding. IE just 1 code. So in your case if you are using different id's you will need to set it up multiple times. Not recommended, but that is what you will need to do. Alternatively correclty setup the id's in the feed, but that comes with it's own problems when migrating.

Hello Emmanuel, thanks for the tutorial. I have a question: can I add multiple pixels and activate them all? For example. Can I add enhanced conversion pixel and remarketing pixel and activate them? will I have issues? TIA!

You may need to test it. I have never tested the code being listed more than once.

hey there, i began running this on all my accounts but I'm experiencing something across all of them now. since removing my old dynamic remarkting codes and launching this customer event system shown int he video, I no longer see the dynamic ads in the ad preview (previously when in the ad builder, when dynamic was working successfully, you would see the product listings show in the ad preview of the responsive ad) now they default to the submitted images instead, and, when looking at the website with the google ads tag assistant, I see no remarketing tag. previously, the way I would verify dynamic was working was by using the tag assistant to look at the tag and ensure the right parameters were firing (ecom prod id etc) I know ecom prod id is now replaced by id, but still, how can I verify if its working when both these previous methods of validation are not there anymore for me?
@feedarmy2 ай бұрын
Pixel coding unfortunately can not be viewed using preview tools due to Shopify Pixels running in sandbox mode, which is hidden for privacy reasons. To verify it's working, ads.google.com/aw/audiences/management/datasources/tagsetup and click on the details

Hey hey, this video was great, but for me the ID is not showing up once I go into 'details' of the tag manager. Why is this?
@feedarmyАй бұрын
If you meant preview mode, this does not work, make sure to view the data in Google Ads in 2 days.

does this code capture dynamic remarketing variables? such as ecom prod id?
@feedarmy4 ай бұрын
ecomm_prodid, is the old attribute and has been replaced with the id attrbute for many years now, and as per official docs: support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/6106009?hl=en#zippy=%2Cset-up-the-data-layer-code-on-your-site

@@feedarmy amazing, thank you! last question. how could I identify if my clients are using parent id, or varient id to make that adjustment you mentioned.
@feedarmy4 ай бұрын
@@joeybidner Go to Shopify product page, and click on the variant, now look at the URL address bar, if the first digits match the GMC id, its the parent, if its the second set of digits, it's the variant.

@@feedarmy thank you man! last 2 question i swear. if im running ads in various countries with 1 website but a sub account GMC for each country (shopify markets) should I apply this code 3x (3 separate pixels) each with the corresponding country code? lastly, when applying the customer event pixel, there are 6 permission options. "marketing, anaylitcs, preferences, and 3 data collection options (long sentences I wont repeat here" what are you selecting for this? i assume its different for different country laws, but for usa/canada what is necessary?
@feedarmy4 ай бұрын
@@joeybidner That depends on how you setup yoru feed, check what the product ids are fro each country, and if they are all different, yes, you need to add the same code multiple times, not recommended but the only solution. I kept all the settings in Shopify privacy as default.
