@23:55, you are mistaken. If both are regular, then y (7 sides) is bigger than x (6 sides). The more sides you add, the closer the angle is going to get to 180.

I think question 2 was wrongly answered. You can visualise this by taking 2 simpler shapes. A triangle and a square for instance. An equilateral triangle would have angles of 60 degrees, but a square would have angles of 90 degrees. So, the more sides you have, the less the corners need to bend in order to close the shape on all sides (ie: the more the sides, the greater the angle) Edit: on second thought, this works only if the sides are equal.
