When I play both Mariah & Jodie's renditions of Fantasy, I'm blown away buy the difference in sound. Mariah's is more upbeat, sanguine and in the midst of infatuation while Jodie's has a sense of melancholy, heartache and longing to it.

You’re so right! It’s so amazing how the same song can seem to have such different meanings, I feel like Mariah’s version focuses on the fantasy itself and how amazing and fun it is and ‘oh wow what a sweet fantasy!’, whereas Jodie’s version feels like it emphasises more on the fact that it’s only a fantasy which she wishes is real, but sadly it’s ‘just a sweet fantasy’.
