This is the first time I have tried a class of yours. I've been hanging out with Cynthia Allen, Lavinia Plonka & Elizabeth Berringer so far. This was awesome! I really felt that we were given enough time inbetween each movement to complete my exhale and then begin my inhale at the pace which my body was dictating today. At the end, my lower back was closer to the floor than it has been for ages. I really did feel taller when I stood up! Thanks, David. An excellent class and good cadence to your voice. 💚 21 June 2022

I have tried a couple of your other lessons, and enjoy the way you present directions. This is still early stage for me with the exercises and sometimes I feel too tired at a certain point. Such is the case now so I’ll have to revisit in a while. Thank you for your efforts.

Thank you very much for the lesson. I found your channel yesterday and I'm going to practice these recordings. The timing is just perfect, pauses, and your comments on the movements, all these match my rhythm ideally. Thank you again. I really enjoyed it. In the middle of the lesson at 42:38 when we had our left foot on the floor (right food lengthened) and we were turning the pelvis to the right, you said to turn the head to the left. And while we had the head turned to the left you said "feel what happens to the movement of the left side of your pelvis rolling to the right, IT IS NOT THAT EASY". For me it was vice versa - it was easier. And the same happened with the other side - when rolling the pelvis to the left and turning the head to the right it was easier for me. Could you please comment on this - is it some kind of "dysregulation" in the body or is it within the norm?

It is totally fine! Usually, having all of one's self turning in the same direction is easier. But this is often not the case. There is no one right thing to feel. The fact that you are sensing yourself so clearly is the most important thing. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your question, and I apologize for the delay in my response! No, the Feldenkrais Method is not a form of weight loss exercise, but rather a practice of learning, and moving toward a fuller understanding of ourselves. I hope this is helpful!

Can I do these exercises with a severe scoliosis of 69°?
@FeldenkraisAccess
@FeldenkraisAccess 2 жыл бұрын
Yes! The main thing is to let your comfort be your guide. As soon as you feel any kind of resistance, stop, do less, and even just imagine the movements. Then, when you approach the movement again, keep it small and slow until it feels truly easy to make a larger movement. Keep us posted about how it goes for you!
