It would allow me to see the inside of the ship I made a while back. In career mode, I made a 764 partcount ship that looks absolutely beautiful. It's a carrier ship designed to hold a few starfighters or some flat cargo containers in the mega bay I constructed. I showed dad the regular IVA view and he said it "looked like the ship from Aliens"

I already do it without mods at all. I made living space modules for the Kerbals with things like cushy seats, glass-top tables, and the like. WIth these mods using such kind of wacky constructions will be a dream...

Oh man I have so many questions. Can you go into the circular rotating section? Does it keep rotating when you're inside? If so, does the mod recognize this and cause the resulting effects of perceived "gravity" towards the outside of the ring, or coriolis effect for example? It would be really neat if the mod could recognize the presence of artificial gravity and switch the kerbals to "walking" mode when they hit the floor. Would really make a reason to have a spinning section of the spacecraft!

Ever since this mod was in it's earliest phases, I was ecstatic that I could move around my ships and longed for the day it would be fully functional. It, for me, made the game more immersive and personal. I quit ksp a few years ago, moved on to different games, but now seeing this reminds me of the fun (and pain) of playing this game as a kid. Thank you for reminding me how much fun this game is and that it's even getting a sequel! I appreciate seeing ksp videos in my sub feed even if doesn't get the same views it used to. Keep up the good work and let's see if ksp 2 can launch ksp back into the mainstream once more!

I found it's fascinating that modders added a full first person IVA experience with interiors, colliders, and full 6-DOF controlls... BEFORE someone thought about adding the same 6-DOF controls to EVAs! (a.k.a, allow roll, remove pitch limits, make translation relative to the camera, like in this mod and like in, basicly, any other game with zero-g). And after 11 years of KSP existense, I still have to aproach ladders in zero-g from "the bottom" if it happends to be aligned with antinormal. Okay, I don't know why this amazing mod triggers such a negative reaction in me simply because it isn't the one I needed. It's amazing anyway, and I do want something like this in KSP 2. I just want a simple 6-DOF controlls for EVAs more than this, at this point.

I use this mod with IVA mods, making it so every button is pressable and i can have panels everywhere, like mini computers. truly a great experience

We got amazing visuals with Astronomer's Visual Pack, EVE, Scatterer, great physics with FAR and Principia, performance improving (beautiful) exhaust visuals with waterfall, scattered collidable objects with Pallarax 2, upcoming volumetric clouds with Scatterer, high performance multiplayer with LunaMultiplayer, functional ship control panels with RPM and ASAT, vr implementation with KerbalVR, combat with BDArmory, and now this? It's really weird, this feels like something that should be part of the game. Not like it's a cool mod that enhances the game, but rather like a feature that should already be present. it "works" in that you can get out of your seat and move around, but there's no hatch support and no colliders to keep you inside. I'm working on a set of configs and models for SSPX support in FreeIva, as well as supporting moving around in gravity, ladders, and supporting the artificial gravity centrifuges.

if you add RPM (Raster Prompt Monitor?) with the needed interiors for your mods and vanilla pods, it makes it even better (AND really useful!) even tho the number of instruments are a bit overwhelming... (i had the old version of Free IVA where a lot of the collision boxes were intersecting, effectively disabling them since they collide with each other and some block RPM buttons...)

I have both of those mods and love them. Every time I load into the game, I end up switching to my station at 250KM, and flying around inside the station as either Bill or Jeb. Sometimes I take and EVA with them as well. I love the FP POV seeing the world as a Kerbal.

Well, this mechanic was in Squad's roadmap since like the release of a game. Me personally was waiting for it more than ten years, but rare mods like this are usually somewhat incompatible with RSS/RO/RP-1 build...

This would work amazingly for colonies too in the KSP2!!! Really hope someone sends this to the KSP2 team.....would make a huge difference to the engagement and to my willingness to construct things in space....I never really bother bringing parts and doing EVA to construct stuff....this is actually how the game should almost be played by default.... I'm really impressed with this, this feels like what the game has always been missing without new really realising it. Nate Simpson, please take note!! I think this would make a great first step of KSP2.....it definitely increases the wonder and engagement of the whole thing, and will increase the chances people will fly their crafts from a cockpit.

Is it affected by gravity/acceleration? In other words, if the craft is landed/accelerating, is the Kerbal unable to fly up and stuck to one wall?
