Thank you Nina! I had ordered this ensemble to apply cording to a heirloom style velvet jacket I am working on. I am waiting for my dealer to open up so I can pick it up. I love seeing how you use it.

This is great. Would it work on a Artista 180 ? My local dealer in Miami closed & the next one is super far away.

Yes! The #72 foot and the inserts will work great on your 180!

Why are these feet better the the couching feet that Bernina already produces and sells?
@Langrishe23 жыл бұрын
I guess #72 can use rulers safely

Good information about couching, thank you, it’s just a shame that the only thing in focus was your left hand most of the time though, instead of on the foot doing the work. Much better with dark fabric, photographer probably needs to watch other well shot videos to see best angle to shoot from 😐 At least Bernina are doing some sewing tutorials 🙂

Does this foot and inserts work on a bernina longarm?

Does the yarn or cord hold up better after several washing’s?
@BerninaInternational3 жыл бұрын
There is a lot of variety in both yarn and cord that you can find in the market and many things contribute to how well something will hold up when laundered. I recommend reading the manufacturers care instructions on yarn or cord you choose. Also consider the robustness of the item you select and make sure that your stitching is dense enough to hold it in place over time. As with many things in sewing, experimentation is the best teacher and with some consideration, I think you will find both yarns and cords that could be laundered and hold up over time.

Not very good camera focus while stitching but otherwise a great technique to try.
