You are welcome! Sometimes we overtink and forget that quilting is all about texture and texture can be created with simple patterns. then you can quilt your own quilts beautifly without frustration and enhance your skills to the level you want. ❤❤❤

I'm a bit late getting to watch your video this time. We're very busy this time of year, rushing to finish outdoor projects in prep for the next garden season, finishing the harvest for this year and as well, I'm just very distracted. The weather is leveling off, feeling less hot and sticky so maybe soon I can get started on my Indian Star table runner. This design and the colors on a larger scale would make a nice quilt for a man, very graphic and not so feminine as some quilts. Have a good week! ~Cynthia

I understand you all too well. You knwo my videos are here, you can watch them whenever you like and need. It is not like I present breaking news. I am also running around. Travels, longer working hours, trying to catch up....busy season. I am very curious about your new project! ❤❤❤

thank you. I love watching you my problem is I can't seem to get stitches to not skip or to quit looking like tension isn't right. I have a brother ps500 and just recently found a quilting foot that I can adjust the height but I don't really know how high to adjust the foot to the fabric sandwich. and if I can just get stitches to cooperate I won't be as frustrated. I make prayer quilts and right now I just straight stich around each triangle and square.

OK...skipped stiches... possible solutions: new needle, size 80 or 90 the quilting foot should be high enough as to barely touch the fabric. You should not push it. if the foot is too high then you will have the skipped stiches. you can also play with the tension but usually this is not the reason. I do not know the settings for your machine. You can try the hopping foot for comparison sake. if you have few different ones try those. Quilting on a domestic machine depends on the machines. I had one pfaff that was not able to perform in quilting mode. I was frustrated to no end. I will keep my fingers crossed! Let me know.

Do you use basting spray on your squares
@quiltingnerd2 ай бұрын
Hi there! I do not. I use safety pins on my larger projects like this one, but for smaller projects, the friction will be enough.
