Watching replay. I so appreciate you including your errors. Great reminders for us to “measure twice cut once” so to speak.

Do the quilt shops know that we're doing a no buy July ? The fabric shops are trying to tempt with their emails showing new releases of beautiful fabrics and notions. Gonna be a long, tortuous month.... This pattern will be my first ever making an apron. Thanks Sherri, you bring joy in each video you make for us.

lol, highway hypnosis, that’s how I feel driving the interstate through Ft. Wayne, it never ever ends!! Love the apron, I could use a couple more newer ones. I’m always in an apron to protect my clothes when cooking or cleaning. I think we should all use them, they actually save money by saving your clothes.

Very nice apron and thank you for the wonderful tutorial. You made everything look so easy. I am like you-I may have done the pocket different but your were right in doing the first one by following the instructions. Nice modeling too

I like how you are doing the 3 sides of the pocket better than the instruction because the way the direction read you would have raveling inside the pocket by only turning under 1/4" and I would hate to feel those strings. It could be surged of course but your way is smart. Sherri you also have the decorative stitches on your machine, I use the "arrow head" for the top corners for pockets for the stability. Looks really cool and professional, you might give it a try on your next one if you want. Just love love the apron! And the Avacoda fabric looks great for an apron!. Sherri, do you mind if I ask how tall you are? I am 5'3 and I was wondering about length.
@lessonslearnt5966
@lessonslearnt5966 21 күн бұрын
It did call for turning it under twice, I was thinking about making the pocket a finished square using 2 pieces, you know like a closed up pillow case? I may still do that on the next ones. I’m 5’3” as well

Great tutorial Sheri! I will definitely try one! My mom always wore an apron when she cooked. She liked the style like kids use for painting; smock style. I like this and will shorten the neck strap a little. Thank you!
