Pink grunge for sure with the Rose fabric. The grunge color card is well worth the $ . Saves you from buying the "wrong" color for a project if shopping online. 🙂

I made 20 aprons for Christmas gifts for friends and family using Indigenous fabrics and designs. They were a hit. I also made mug rugs for the men. So for next year I'm thinking to make cell phone holders.

2.5 rulers are the best. If you have 2 of them you can cut strips into squares quickly using the leap frog method. Quilting shops have “shop rulers” with their name on them that are 2.5 X 6 that are fun to collect.

My fail from No Buy July was that my 10 yr old grandson was visiting, saw some darling black & white graffic cats fabric on my desk and I asked if he'd like me to make a 'blanket' for his white kitty named Marshmallow. I had to buy some Lime Popsicle green for the backing. I consider grandbabies a good reason to break my rules.

So glad you opened up for questions. When you have a quilt block that you would like to make multiples of for a quilt but do not have yardage requirements to do so how do you determine how much fabric to accomplish? May be to broad if a question to answer. Thanks!

I like the pink the best.maybe just put a small bit of green. They both work though. You could do a power outage test on scrap fabrics just to see what happens. Get it going and flip the switch off on the surge protector while it's running. That way you know what to expect. I hope to own a longarm some day.

I didn't get to sewing over the weekend but plan to get started with the aprons tomorrow. My daughter will get one and all three granddaughters also. One is buying her own home, she is 23 I think she will love having one, the other 2 live at home but I will make 3 for them, (my daughter, youngest granddaughter and my middle granddaughter. My youngest one came home with me tonight and looked through my fabric and picked 2 flannels for some pajama pants and told me she would love a quilt with (those little squares all over it) I'm thinking 2" blocks for a single bed. Maybe I can get it finished by Christmas or her birthday in February. She needs extra snuggles. Her Dad, a Navy man passed away in 2000 from Covid leving my Daughter a Widow and 3 daughters without a daddy.

Oh I’m so sorry about your son-in-law. I cut my squares 2 1/2” for those “little squares all over” quilts, that way they finish at 2”

I won’t run my longarm during storms either. I am afraid of what could happen, like maybe rip my quilt. I also have a surge protector, but a big no way for me. I have been Longarm quilting for about 6 years now.

Just a thought ... since it is "No Buy July", you might consider starting your Monday chats on that topic ... How well you're doing as well as how well we are doing. I will confess that the only fabric I've bought so far was for backing fabric that I needed to finish a quilt for my son. I've been looking for fabric with specific gray tones ... and Sew Yeah had it on their Saturday auction. Sew Yeah added to support all of you'all with KZbin Channels. I enjoy your KZbin Channel. 🙂

Right! On Pro Stitcher you baseline and save your design, which should make it all okay. Just reopen your saved design and carry on, but I’m still hesitant. I’ll get my confidence up eventually 😄

Regarding power outage issues. Do you know about battery back up/surge protector devises that cover 10 minutes to a longer amount of time. I use to have the 10 minute one. This gave me time to shut down my computer. Love your grunge colors that go with your fat quarter. ❤❤❤

I have a question for you Sheri. If you are quilting a smaller item such as a place mat in lines, do you sew all rows in the same direction or do you sew one line starting at the top and then the next line starting at the bottom? Hope that makes sense! Love the top you had on today!
