Our area has been very dry. My husband goes out to the front porch and watch the doves several times during the day and mentioned that the birds were hurting for water. I bought 2 inexpensive birdbaths to give him during the Amazon Sale. He was very happy! We had to water the ground to make it soft enough to get the legs of the bird bath in for 2 days! Got them set up and it rained the next 3 days!!! Guess that's how things go. No birds at the bird bath yet but at some point they will.

It takes a minute for them to feel comfortable enough to approach a new feeder or bath. You all will enjoy that so much!

It is a Low Buy July for me! Found the perfect fabric for the borders of my temperature quilt and was afraid it would be gone by August. So I pulled the trigger on it. But that was very restrained for me. LOL But I am proud of myself for not random buying the "pretty" fabric for no particular reason. Love the show!

Happy belated birthday! Welcome to the club. I've been catching up on videos in my "watch later" list. My husband is taking me on 2 week vacation to CO mountains in mid August. I hardly ever take time off work to go somewhere. We've got some campsites reserved for tent camping and some lodges. Maybe I'll bring some cross stitch with me for the car ride.

I got my mom's plastic tub cabinet and keep my layer cakes and charm packs in individual drawers. It has 6 tubs. I got those clear bins from Target but are only about 10 - 12 inches long by 5 inches.

Can't wait to see the Wednesday project! Have a good number of vegas strips and would love to use 1 up. I have made one apron and have the fabric out to make another. No buy July has been very good for me. Now to resist in August 😂

Missouri Star Quilt Co. also has fabric storage bags with dividers for precuts. That is what I use for charm squares & layer cakes. They have 2 or 3 different sizes.

Hi Sherri, I am enjoying this video so much. I hopped over to Karen Brown's video using your link. I was astounded learning how to use foam core for drawer dividers!!! I wouldn't have ever considered this material to be sturdy enough to use for dividers. What a genius idea and so easy. Also, it's the perfect solution for storing my thread. I quilt using my domestic machine and use Aurifil spools 1300-yard size. And, I have many colors over time as I quilt all of my own. I finally settled on using baggies to sort by color and prevent unraveling thread. Oh yes, I had tried to conquer the fractious threads many ways prior to this method. THIS idea is absolutely amazing and the perfect solution for my thread storage. Much thanks to you and love all of your videos.

Oh my. I hadn't paid attention to different sizes of sashing. I already had to pull jack out to correct the first error. I didn't see the sashing for the first row, and I sewed all blocks together, thinking the border strip is all I needed.

Glad you enjoyed your getaway. What type of machine do you have? Does it have sped control? How big is the throat space? I desperately need another machine with a larger throat space.
@lessonslearnt59664 ай бұрын
I have the Baby Lock Jazz 2 for the bigger throat space. It’s great, but it’s a mechanical only. If you want speed control and thread cutter you should totally consider the Baby Lock Allegro. It’s a bit of a jump in price, but would be worth it for your needs.

Haha! Sew Yeah Quilting based in Las Vegas has created their own unique precut called Vegas Strips. It’s a pack of around 21 - 6.5” x WOF strips usually from a particular line of fabric, but sometimes they put together some blender packs.

What I can't find is storage for layer cakes. Can't find 10 x 10 inch or 11 x 11 inch or 12 x 12 inch sized storage containers. Anyone has suggestions? Why Spanish speaking church? Interesting.
