Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

In a small Kirithian Town, not far away from a mighty river, stands a lone statue, made out of what appears to be simple rock. Depicted is a human knight, battered and bruised, Visible cuts and dents on his armor, a broken arm hanging down on one side, with a shattered pollaxe and a broken longsword at his feet. Despite the seemingly serious wounds depicted on the statue, the Knight emanates an aura of Relief, Happiness, his face being at peace, with a slight smile. It is not trying to glorify the portrayed Human, rather it is a testament to his willpower, determination and devotion. Below the statue, on its podest, is a plaque, reading in both the Kirithian and Human language the following: "Here, the Soul of Sir Bayard left the mortal coil, to be united with his Gods. At our darkest hour, he stepped forward and became our shield, protected the young and the weak, out of the pure of his heart, knowing that he will not survive the next day. Even on Death's Door, his sole worry was the safety of those he wanted to protect. We will be forever in your debt." Even today, years after the horrible War between Kirithian and Kopruns, people still put flowers down at the feet of the Statue, as many of the townsfolk wouldn't stand here today, where it not for this lone knight, going above and beyond to fight for his beliefs, to protect the Innocent.

History paints them darker because many Knights sought only "glory" for themselves. However there were still some who understood the honor of service to others. Our remembering them is the way we give them the glory that they earned, even without seeking it. By their example the darkness is held back for another day.

Sir Bayard is named after the historical Sir Bayard De Chavelier. He was considered so honorable that he was called 'The Good Knight'. There was a moment in history when he did actually hold off a larger enemy force so that his own could recover. He once asked to be knighted by a king or prince but instead the ruler asked to be knighted by Bayard. He was said to never take anything he did not pay for. An excellent namesake for the brave knight in this story.
