easy mate . I have to say your videos are spot on and very very helpful for people that don't know or have much experience on the river . I don't like the fact the E.A have taken a lot of the bank up as me and my grandad have had some epic carp and barbal from this stretch my grandad had a 19lb 5 barbal the day before he passed away . and I have not been back since but seeing your videos it makes me want to return. thanks buddy tight lines 🎣🎣🎣

Thank you so much for the lovely comment buddy, really sorry to hear about your Grandad, it can be very hard to lose a loved one, i should know as I've lost two brother in laws and my father in law in the last three years. Very difficult but time is a great healer my friend.😊 Wow 19lb 5oz is an absolute monster..!! He smashed my biggest by 3lb.👏👏 I'd love to hear from you if you do get to go back, just leave me a message on this vid if you catch.👍 Glad to help anytime buddy..😊👍🐟🐟

Hello Mucker, I've been fishing this area for last 2 weeks, it's very good fishing too, great chub & barble area, but, always carry some decent secateurs because most of the pegs are thick with brambles & nettles & the odd sapling. By the way, just recently discovered a lovely fishery in Milford, Marsh farm, just off A286 Petworth Road, Superb venue, lovely crucians, tench, roach etc. Decent day ticket price too. Tackle shop like alladins cave. Take care mate🐟🪱🎣👍

Hi bud, hope your well.👍 It's definitely one of my favourites, gorgeous downstream swims. Glad to hear you're catching, still haven't managed to get to the Thames yet, car went pop 4 days before the 16th, ended up on the scrap heap.!🥴 Really thought i had a chance this year as well, missed five in a row now..👎 Hopefully Camping for a week or so early next week, can't wait, Chertsey / Shepperton Wier first..

@MUCKER671 Are you camping on Chertsey C& CC? If so & fancy a few hours on the bank give me a shout closer to the time. I'm off to Swanage in 2 weeks, me & the boy going to do some beach casting for bass & mackerel. But Marsh farm is calling me, so going with my bank buddy Dave on Thursday. Cars🙄 ours in for its MOT today🤞

Hi bud, thought I'd drop you a quick message, not sure if your in Swanage yet but just to let you know that I may very well be on the Thames tomorrow arvo in the Bellyboat, definitely short notice, didn't know i was going till late last night. Had to change everything over from sea fishing to freshwater today, Yikes..! Times gonna be a bit of a factor for me what with the filming and everything, B-Roll footage is the most time consuming but if I find myself close to some accessible land I'll let you know if you like, be good to chat..😊🤞

It’s totally amazing the amount of good swims the E.A. HAS taken away from us to keep the boating fraternity happy, I don’t know why I pay my license.

Hi, sorry but I've only just seen your message from 3 years ago, don't normally miss um..😕 Totally agree, they wouldn't do it to a football pitch etc.. Way more people physically fish than play football..😊👍

Another fab video Mucker!! Have fished pretty much all these swims myself over the years! some real gems in there... never had a problem myself fishing off the hard standing by the car park although the summer months can me mega busy with boats and people launching from the slipway..... thanks for the vid and hope to see you out there sometime..... :)

Hi there do u no anything about the ponds on the corner of ferry boat lane on the right hand side?
@MUCKER6714 ай бұрын
Hi there, not sure where you mean.? I've searched Google Maps but can't find Ferry Boat Lane, do you mean Ferry Lane joining up with Thames Side just above the Layham stretch as there are two lakes, one either side of the M3 motor.? If that is the case then I'm afraid i don't know much about them, i think the most northern lake of the two is club owned.😊👍

Sorry, wish i could help but i don't know anything about them. Give Davies Angling a ring near Staines Upon Thames, always great info from them. They don't have a website address that i can see but they use Facebook and Instagram I think. Here's there telephone number 01784 461831 It's closed now but they should be open tomorrow morning, hope this helps you in some way though bud & good luck with your quest.🤞😊

@MUCKER6712 жыл бұрын
Hi buddy, I'd get myself to the first swim at Aragon Avenue, early morning before the rowing club wakes up. Just a few feet past the pontoon on your right is a good spot for Chub. I'd use either a small Maggot Feeder and a hooklengh nearly as long as it is deep, for example 5ft deep with a 4ft hooklengh. The longer the better..! While feeder fishing I'd also prep a second swim for Waggler fishing, i flick just a few maggots in at regular intervals as far as your catapult can comfortably reach but I wouldn't actually fish this spot for at least 2 to 3 hours. I'd set the Waggler up with a hook length of as little as 6 inches to 5ft in depth. (shorter first preferable) using the smallest amount of shot possible on the hook length, basically fishing on the drop.. I've posted a vid on Aragon Avenue in my free fishing playlist if you haven't already seen it bud.👍 If you can't get to Aragon Avenue for some reason I would suggest the stretch between Chertsey Bridge and Layham Camping Site, park under the motorway bridge and use exactly the same methods as i suggested earlier. Hope this helps you and Tight Lines to you..😊🤞🐟🎣

Absolutely fantastic videos Mucker. I've been trying for barbel around Thames Ditton, but only had one in 8 visits through the year. I'm keen to try Walton/Shepperton areas now. Any tips for winter- end of the season? Thanks
@MUCKER6712 жыл бұрын
I would say the biggest tip i can give you is don't be afraid of a flood, it's the best conditions to fish the Thames. I try to organise my fishing trips around high water and floods if possible in winter. Aragon Avenue and Cigarette Island are my top two in winter but most places in my playlist will work, just look for spots that have over hanging trees or trees that aren't normally underwater. My bait and tackle are the same as in the video i suggested earlier, i.e Trout Pellet Paste & Boilies, i never use loose feed when the river is high.. Hope this helps you bud..😊👍
@blackday20732 жыл бұрын
@@MUCKER671 thanks so much. I always run away when the water is high! I did watch the cigarette Island video and was interested in what you said about a piece of luncheon meat in by the bank trees. Another learning point was the crease between the Thames and the muddy Ember. I've seen it a few times and thought it was a problem with effluent from the Ember.

any good carp spots in staines mate?
@MUCKER6712 жыл бұрын
Hi bud, sorry for not replying sooner. I posted a video on Runnymede Pleasure Grounds on the Thames about a month ago, that's the only place I know of myself. (Apparently patchy Carp fishing) I think the free fishing side of things is fairly slim around the Staines area. Sorry about the lack of info bud..😊👍
