This is the best technique for increasing. I think the edge looks pretty too. Simple and effective. A fun mindless knit project =)

Hey there, surprised there are no likes to this. As a beginner I love this tutorial ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for this pattern, I really like it and can't wait to try it! I always thought that for a triangle shawl I was supposed to start on the longest side and decrease, but this seems even simpler!
@Bromefields5 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome! I like the idea of making it as big as I want and trying it on as I go without playing chicken with my yarn! This way is a lot less stressful :)

That was interesting! I've only used that cast on when I was first learning to knit as a child and recently for buttonholes. I like this technique! Very cool!

Thanks! I had a sudden urge to try this and one other "adding stitches" thing I saw didn't make sense to me, unlike this

Wonderful tutorial video. 👌🏼💕💜💚 I would like to learn from you and knit this. Do we use any type of yarn 🧶 for this project?… I saw some of the shawls knitting with narrow yarns 🧶?… thanks 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@Bromefields4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you can use any yarn you want, just keep knitting until it's as big as you want. :)
@flowerwoodss Жыл бұрын
Hey! I really love this! Is it also possible to knit this with size 4mm knitting needles?
@Bromefields Жыл бұрын
Yes... with the right yarn. I like to use the rule of thumb that the stitches aren't too tight or too loose, so that you have a nice and relaxed fabric. :)

What would happen if you increase on every row instead of every other row?
@Bromefields3 жыл бұрын
It would grow wider twice as fast.

Will this work for any weight yarn?
@Bromefields7 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa, I tried this with a thinner yarn and it left a it of a loop on the ends,. It might work better using a K1FB instead of a backwards loop. ;) Happy knitting!

How many balls of wool are needed?
@Bromefields7 жыл бұрын
Hi Janet, I used 5 skeins of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick. You can use more or less to make it larger or smaller. This pattern is easy to adjust :) You just keep knitting until it's as big as you want!

Q?… one row is odd another one row is even ?… right
@Bromefields4 жыл бұрын
CO 1 stitch and increase 2 stitches on every other row, so you always have an odd number of stitches on every row.

This method is strange to me. I have tried the continental metod but have stayed with the way I learned. Much quicker for me. Cant teach an old dog new tricks.

This is a good and easy way to make a shawl. But This is the most awkward way of knitting I’ve ever seen
@brobson91634 жыл бұрын
I am not a CONTENTIAL knitter so this is NOT EASY
@wensdae746564 жыл бұрын
You just knit each row, increasing at the beginning and end of each odd row. You are not required to do it continental style, no worries.
@marsfran554 жыл бұрын
I’m trying to learn the continental method, looks much friendlier! However, I have made 3 of these shawls in the “traditional” knit method and LOVE the easy pattern!
