How to knit "Don Valley Butterfly" - the EASIEST SYMMETRICAL triangular SHAWL/BAKTUS. DIAGONAL triangle. Garter stitch - only KNIT STITCHES. Icelandic bind off.
Diagonal knitting. Started from the tip on one side and worked towards the opposite side. Knit until you are happy with the size or until run out of the yarn.
In the video I used 2x100g (~400m each) skeins of a fingering weight yarn, but it can also be made with a sock yarn, sport or dk, or even lace.
This shawl is named after a butterfly I sighted at the valley of the Don river in Toronto. The triangular shape of its wings resembles the shape of the shawl. Its softness and lightness are the continuous inspiration for my knitting.
