If it helps anyone to remember Echinocyte VS Acanthocyte, I think: - "E"chinocyte has "E"qual projections - "A"canthocyte has "A"symmetrical projections

Lead poisoning- basophilic stippling Myelofibrosis- tear drop cell G6PD deficiency- bite cell/ degmacyte (kinda like sickles cell) Megaloblastic anemia- macro(mega) ovalocyte ESRD, liver ds- Echinocyte (small and regular) Liver ds- Acanthocyte(large and irregular)
