Look how dominant Detroit is and how out of character Shaq and Kobe are, yet they still seem to miraculously stay neck and neck. Chauncey Billups underrated All Time PG. The years w/ Detroit, always in finals contention till he left. Then, Carmelo and Iverson couldn't do anything at Denver till Billups joined, they automatically went to conf finals. Billups is the PG version of Tim Duncan and should've been a top 20 all time greats if he had a more fair career. Billups is also a historically rare 90% career FT

I agree Billups is definitely in my top 5 pgoat above Chris Paul & Jkidd. I believe he went to 7 straight conference finals appearance. Underrated ruled almost a decade of basketball to get to the championship u had to go through Chauncey Billups. He went to 6 straight conference finals with Detroit then went to the West to join Carmelo and Denver Nuggets and went straight to the conference finals again. Dumars made some mistakes one not valuing the importance of Chauncey billups and not drafting the best available player in Carmelo. Can u imagine if they got carmelo how many championships they could've won and also how Carmelo Anthony's career would've turned out. We wouldve had and answer for LeBron for yrs to come. In the 2003-2004 season, the Pistons did not rely on a small number of star players, but instead built a team with a well-balanced force at each position. Rasheed Wallace, who joined the Pistons midway through the season, was the only star player on the team, and Wallace was the only one with an annual salary of more than $10 million. Karl Malone, who was transferred to the Lakers in hopes of winning their long-awaited championship, continued to suffer from injuries throughout the season, and was finally removed from the starting lineup in Game 5 of the Finals. With this loss, one of the strongest teams in league history, which had won three consecutive championships in the early 2000s, was disbanded.

The offseason after winning the title they lost Okur, who went on to be an all star for Utah, Mike James, who averaged 20 and 5 the following season for Toronto, and Elden Campbell, a 7fter and 2 way big who was crucial in helping defend Shaq. Their bench was so emaciated the following seasons with just McDyess and Hunter as reliable pieces until their final season together in 2008 when the front office finally got some quality young talent next to their vets.

Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, Tayshaun Prince were all awesome in this series plus solid bench depth, but its crazy how impactful Ben Wallace can be with so little scoring. He's just always doing all the little things at such an elite level, playing good defense, drawing offensive fouls, grabbing rebounds on both ends, grabbing loose balls, getting blocks, steals, deflections, tap backs, put backs, setting screens to get teammates open shots or lanes to the basket (off and on ball), making some great passes, plus the occasional dunk or even a couple mid range jumpers. Makes you wonder if he had a more polished offensive game with good handles and a more accurate outside shot, just how good he could have been. Honestly though up there with Tim Duncan as the best defender during the best defensive era. Pretty cool to watch.

Jaden & Ausar need more playing time. I'm not sure why Monty is benching them. If Pistons have a decent center like Sengun, they will be on top 4 seeds for sure. I still believe Cade has more potential on his ceiling. Want to blame inefficient front office and coaching staffs not the young players. They need more help & clear direction not the criticism!

Monty doesn't know what he's doing. At the start of the season they looked ok. Duren looked like a potential all-defence candidate. Ausar is incredible defensively but isn't being allowed to play through his mistakes. Same thing with Ivey. He's chopping and changing his lineup too much and there's no flow in the team. He doesn't know his best team, which is not good enough at this point of the season

Can't agree more bro👍 Monty should look at Rockets how they rebuild the team. Need more fixed lineups not shaking things up. Young cornerstones need at least 30 minutes of playing time for experience. I believe their ceilings are higher than Rockets if they have a player like Jokic or Sengun.

Ben Wallace is still my favorite player of the last 25 years... He and sheed. This was my favorite team.

The games before flopping, complaining, exaggerating, "demonstrative frustration". With a natural rhythm and balanced offensive / defensive actions. Calm and sensible commentary. So um why it's no longer a thing?

Superstars who all players look up to don’t act/play this way, Since Kobe/KG/Duncan/Dirk retired the league got soft because of the emerging nice guys superstars. Hopefully with Giannis, Luka, Ja and Ant replacing the old dudes it’ll shift back a bit to those days

@@FreeDawkins Love to have Zion in the mix as well. The kid truly loves the game and enjoys playing regardless what anyone says. Also - thank you for your contributions to the game.

@FreeDawkins Not hating, but isn't Luka known for some of the above?

True, but he ain’t soft and he’s not looking to get friendly on the court, the bitchin by him must stop, and this season, from the little I saw is a bit better than previous years

Balanced offensive actions? It was too unbalanced in favor of defense
