Really? Here in Sweden most prefab is wood but we use rockwool as insulation, and much more of it, 50-70cm instead of 30. I think main reason why buildings arent built with wood in Belgium is because you dont really have access to it.

Everyone is acting as wood is the worst thing ever. There much more that can very much goes wrong well before it takes haul and catches fire. Their are strange laws in the UK, Items (as in the video) made from 100% cut potatoes and fried in quality oils are chips. While those made from reconstituted potato or other ingredients are called fries. Items designed to be cooked in an oven cannot be called fries. This has resulted in the word 'chips' being associated with quality. I am sure that if the items in the video were being packaged for the US market, the labeling would be different. It is not just labeling, Items exported or made by international companies mostly tailor their products (mainly spicing) for the market that they are selling to.

That why building codes will varies where you lives. Why build a hurricane "proof" house in the middle of the USA if you PROBABLY not gonna EVER see one?

As your house is likely any better (unless you STRICTLY shopped for that). Houses that are BARELY houses are the "name of the game".
