A question.. if you video inside an art gallery that would obviously have copywriter issues with paintings but what if your in a public place that has paintings accidentally included? Would it be the same for advertising product placement if you capture a coke can for example too? Genuine question

Unlike the french who copy righted the Eiffel Tower, however photographing the Eiffel Tower during daylight is now no longer copyrighted but photographing the Eiffel Tower at night is currently copyrighted

If I can freely film and photograph, from public, Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, the Houses of Parliament, MI5, MI6 and GCHQ, then I can also film and photograph their crappy buildings, factories and worksites.

All these Solicitors and Barristers that work in security or a factory, surely wasted all them years in University doing their law degrees? They are always so sure of the law, its uncanny. I would suggest they ask for their money back, or cancel the student debt they got themselves into, or perhaps they are trying to avoid that by earning a small fraction of what Solicitors earn😮😮😮😮.

It is actually the responsibility of the people moaning to prevent photons leaving their premises if they don't want those photons to subsequently interfere with the camera equipment of members of the public that might be pointing in their direction!

@@paddycaseygsxr Retired plod getting bored so I got a job with G4S, the training was a week long and very interesting and professionally presented. They only made one mistake and as I wasn't going into retail security I didn't care. The problem is that many site security personnel like their site and think they get on with management and will do anything they demand, as the contracts do usually end with 'and any reasonable request.' So the boss tells the guard to go and chase someone away from the site and off he goes like a good boy and tried to do it without thinking whether he has the power to do it or not and even if he knows he can't he won't say anything to the boss because he doesn't want to lose his comfy job. Happily as a retired plod I had a good pension and did tell a few to stuff their job where the sun don't shine. Management should do the SIA course as well so they can know what a guard can and cannot do.

Circa 1920 everyone had the right to film from public areas, now over 100 years later, Children 11 years upwards, carry on the tradition of filming anyone and everything in public., lesson don’t go onto public property stating it’s illegal to film.

I agree but the only one here that I can tell you to watch out for is that Virgin Media one. They are a critical infrastructure company that has special protections in the law. They might think you are going to attack them.

In the UK last month’s boat people become security personnel by having someone else complete the course work? At least this what it appears like from uniformed inability to speak English and common lack of understanding of their jobs in relation to photography.😂😂😂
