I am a Christian and have never been afraid of being who I am, wrong church if it shames or controls who you are.

A lot of us had no choice when we were younger. Unfortunately, a lot of that shame was internalized for not fitting in. Or we turned away from religion. Hopefully, those who still want that doctrine find their way back to churches that understand diversity as something positive.

I felt very enlightened by this as someone who came out young. The way you took me on the journey with your experience coming out later made me really empathize with all the hurdles you had to jump. You had so many extra layers to go through, and I could feel the weight of it all. It makes me happy to see that you have come out through the tunnel and are living your best life! 🌈❤️🌈❤️🌈

Coming out older has its unique challenges for sure. Although people coming out later have the wisdom from experience that what others think doesn't matter. Hopefully, letting go of the opinions of others doesn't just happen on our deathbeds. Melisa's story proves how being true to ourselves is vital to a quality life. She is living her best life for sure. Thanks for your input, Mel.
