One song glorified this great man for all times!!! Thank You C&C! Freedom Williams-my childhood! And from the song Voice of Freedom just blows the mind! sorry for my English

He was an audio engineer - really interesting because what I've read about C+C Music Factory is they keep referring to him as a janitor. His strength is fantastic standing up to the industry the way he did.

Esteban Escobar - I remember my mother buying me their cassette. I Loved their tracks on the radio so she bought it for me. I was 9 years old. The sound of his voice is literally, literally burned into my sense of auditory recognition. That’s seriously how much I listened to that fuckin tape. I’m 36 now, became a DJ and got it on vinyl several years ago.

Also, I just got a 2001 Silverado a couple weeks ago and I still have the fuckin tape. It’s in the player right now! This tape, 2 Unlimited, Technotronic. I grew up with those but mostly C + C. Man... ;-)

No shade, but they’d should have had the woman whose voice was responsible for making this song a hit: MARTHA WASH. He better send her a check for playing that song on TV too!!!

How it’s it lack of respect for doing home audio production in your home studio? Studio time cost money. And as long as you know how to mix and master combination matter.

@KayDejaVu3 жыл бұрын
That wasnt him. That was the producers of the song Robert and David
@dzg89373 жыл бұрын
@@KayDejaVu I know who she sued, i remember it vividly. My question was i wonder if he pays her if he uses her voice for anything C&C related since he now owns the C&C Music Factory name.

To the host... kids are not “audio engineering” in their basement. Kids are producing records in their basement but that’s different from the discipline of audio engineering.

Nessa época não bastava cantar, tinha que ter talento.
@DOTHERIGHTTHING19896 жыл бұрын
Wow, Freedom so shamelessly lies about starting C&C Music Factory still... C&C are Clivilles & Cole (R.I.P.) , not Williams.He didn't start the group, he was featured vocalist. And now he patented the brand name, and Robert Clivilles is suing him for this.
@iDalisMediaTV6 жыл бұрын
Freedom was a young producer engineer, and he did alot of records with Robert and David , so Robert was older and him and David had their parntership, and perhaps legally he was a feature... but it was three of them made many records. So although he doesn't make clear the legality of it all, he was just as big a part of the record as Martha Wash was, its a collaborative effort. Lets be clear David was the musical genious, but together, Robert and David produced hits. But the song master was David. Robert had the beats, Freedom was in the right place at the right time and he is a great producer in his own right.
@DOTHERIGHTTHING19896 жыл бұрын
Clivilles & Cole were making records together since early 80s, Gonna Make You Sweat track written solely by Robert (it was offered originally to Trilogy to collaborate on it), and Williams somehow managed to patent exclusively C&C Music Factory brand (which is Clivilles & Cole). So how exactly does it make sense? Martha Wash by the way didn't write or produced anything, she was a session vocalist at the same time, for Blackbox and others,she could be easily replaced by equally talented vocalist in any c&c song, as proof on Keep It Comin'it was Deborah Cooper, not her.Williams was a cleaning guy at the studio hoping to get a gig.
@packman46646 жыл бұрын
He actually was a sound engineering student, and was sweeping the hallways in the studio when civilles found him. He said after the third single released, Williams was like peace out im huge now time to go single. He left and his album bombed and now he trademarked the C and C name and tours using the name and singing the songs, believe he’s being sued over it right now
