Love this drummer, doesn't overplay, no notes wasted, but when the times come she can go fucking wild behind the drums. Just good musicality and feel.

There's a certain fluidity and malleability to the way she feels time and phrases her fills that I haven't heard since Vinnie Colaiuta. Absolutely amazing and so fun to listen to.

This is in my opinion very advanced and polished drumming style. I will probably have to watch this video at least five times before I can start to digest a very small part. Very motivating. This is way over my head but I will be happy if I can pick up the basic idea and start incorporating some of the phrases. This is the first time I have been exposed to this astonishing style of drumming so now I'm hooked. Thank you Anika and everyone at drumeo.

there is a mistake tho: the second beat should start with a ghost note so it is a double on hat than a ghost note and then an accented hat. Those who transcribed the groove made it look as though she plays 4 16s on hat.

Wow! I wasn’t familiar with Anika and now that I am, I’m thoroughly impressed and will spend time studying and learning from her. Her ability to move so eloquently between time signatures while playing incredible and complex pattens, all while staying in the pocket is truly impressive. Much kudos to Anika!! I’m happy this video popped up on my feed. She has a very unique sound too, and I’m a fan!

Monster drumming aside, the compositions are fantastic. I really feel connected to this music in a deep way. And that re-connects me to my drums. Ive been rehabbing from a car wreck for almost two years and drumming is a huge part of rewiring my brain and body. This music brings me a ton of joy and positive energy. Thanks for the inspiration!

Glad to see some one understand how amazing her writing/composing skills are, along with her amazing drumming! She is an international treasure! She is such an amazing master and student of drumming. She is the groovemeister general, Porcaro/Purdie were a huge influence, she's inherently musical, she just plain gets it!

I love drummers that just stay in the pocket and keep a smooth groove. I've never been a fan of over playing. My drum teacher always taught me staying in the pocket is what real musicians love. I always love playing with Bass players.

Thats to assume that all real musicians don't play math. AAL, luke Holland n' That guitarist dude's projects. And other math bands are bands dont have long groove and pocket sections. It isnt whether a musician is real or not but rather what the genre and music demands from the instrument.
