Actually id give the animation a 5/10 personally, it made the layourt look a lot worse and much rougher because the animator doesnt know how physics works. Layout still wasn't great though, would've given that a 5 to be fair

it would not work simply because of the lateral g forces. when the seat detract on loops that would add almost 2.5 g's to a ride where the g forces would measure five or higher. I design coasters as a side profession so i thought i would add my two cents. Still a great concept!
@skylerpowers88719 жыл бұрын
+JERON HOWIE The seats don't appear to detract on loops, only on the lift hill. The seats are locked in their detracted position for the remainder of the ride according to this video.
@shTree7 жыл бұрын
JERON HOWIE A side profession? Who do you design coasters for?
@kioku1196 жыл бұрын
There was one point where I thought I saw them detract. I may be wrong though.
@shTree6 жыл бұрын
Kioku after the lift it appears they are unlocked, and can freely slide. OP is wrong, when the seats slide out during an inversion, or slide in during a period where force is applied in the opposite direction, there is less force on the rider because temporarily, the seats are moving in the direction the force pushes. At the point where they stop suddenly at their maximum extent, they now will be applying the normal amount of force. That said, it would still be incredibly dangerous, because at the point where the seats hit their maximum extent, they will have an almost instant, large, change in acceleration. The rate of change of speed is acceleration. The rate of change of acceleration is called jerk, and this would be going from nearly 0 to 3-4 gs in an incredibly short amount of time, which is dangerous.
@kioku1196 жыл бұрын
Thanks for all of those details!

GODDAMN, the nostalgia is SO FUCKING OVERWHELMING. This looks incredible. The feedback i would have given this 13 years ago if i weren't 5 years old would be that the speed of the ride looks too fast, and off at certain parts, also, the sound effects, decent, but honestly, could have been better, otherwise, this was incredibly well put together!

You're right, the seats popping out is what made me watch the rest of the video, otherwise, it would just be another rollercoaster - but a REALLY long one and pretty entertaining one. If anyone took part of the design, I think, they'd shorten it up quite a bit which would take out some of the appeal - but most definitley not all of it! Awesome job!

Yet you try to insult me now with the fact that I, back in the past, did not know proper English. You say that you "learned" English, yet you still fail to use proper grammar. Also, when calling someone retarded, consider the thought that if said person can reply with a line of thought stricken into a statement, than that person must not be retarded. Look up the definition of retarded before insulting me again. Copy and paste the definition if you must.

Nice idea, that G-Force when you push the riders down on the lift hill could be pretty high, and this ride is taking those tight turns and inversions way too fast, which could also be a G-Force problem. Other than that, I would seriously ride a unique coaster like this, keep up the good work!

Comment of the year I reckon haha. Thanks, really glad you enjoyed the vid. Well it was my major piece for my final year at University. Uni ran from September 2008 - June 2009 but I also had another minor piece to complete too which ran September - December 2008. So for the first few months I was purely designing it whilst I finished my minor piece. I guess it was about 6 months intensive work with another month or two on and off. Loved it though.

I worked on the concept heavily, as it was the whole selling point of the ride. But I can assure you it is used throughout the ride. In the beginning, as the coaster ascends the track, the seats drop in order to promote fear of the ride, to make the passenger feel out of control. The seats then continue to drop/extend through the turns/corners, generally at full extension at the apex. Glad you liked the concept :)

Just 2 things: - There would not make sense to have inspection areas that tall because they're made to check the track state from a closer angle and low enough to fix broken parts with a wrench, you can't do that when catwalk is 4 meters up from the track. - Again: 4-meter tall trains, 5 with the extended freefall seats, you'll need a lot of distance from the track to the ground to give it room to roll and not hit the ground.
