Would you rather both of them be stuck in a loveless marriage where one of them was not even attracted to the gender of the other person? If you watched the show you would know that he was basically forced into straight marriage and was scared of what would happen if he came out as gay. Was it inconsiderate and rude? For sure. Misogynistic? No. He was not discriminating against women, he is just not attracted to them and was forced to pretend that he was. Furthermore, they apologized to her and this conflict was resolved. I wonder why some people are talking about Magnus outing Alec. Magnus says "this is between me and your son", why do people think it is romantically? I mean, yes, us, viewers, we KNOW this is about their feelings but Maryse doesn't see Magnus as a potential lover for her son, but as a Warlock, a person who wants to be paid for his services. And I do really think that most people in the audience of the wedding is wondering the same thing about why a warlock would show up for any sort of payment during the wedding furthermore, and I doubt they are even thinking about a sentimental issue. The only person knowing about it is Alec (and probably his Izzy) but that's all. So, before shouting everywhere that you won't like that scene because Magnus is outing Alec, just pay attention to his words because they are very well-chosen and this is a reason why I love this show.
