I totally agree. Alec is that surly, quiet and responsible type who is never in the limelight coz of another sibling who is a go getter, charismatic and more popular. The way he said why totally shows how curious and baffled he is that someone especially like Magnus noticed him and is interested in seeing him. His attraction towards Magnus and the way Magnus laid out his heart like that is also very baffling for him as he has never been in a situation like this before hence he is stuttering so much here as he really don't know what to say and how to say it

Makes me remind Magnus's quote in The Bane Chronicles. «If Jace was gold, catching the light and the attention, Alec was silver: so used to everyone else looking at Jace that that was where he looked too, so used to living in Jace’s shadow that he didn’t expect to be seen. Maybe it was enough to be the first person to tell Alec that he was worth being seen ahead of anyone in a room, and of being looked at longest. And silver, though few people knew it, was a rarer metal than gold.» He didn't expect to be seen, that's why he looked so confused when Magnus said that he wanted to see him again, almost like didn't believe that something like that could be possible, mostly because all this issues that Alec has with “not being enough”. In my opinion, that's one of the most beautiful things of the shipp, than they can see each other like they really are, not the facade they put on the others, but behind the high walls, and their love grows stronger thanks to that 💙💛💚

I don't think Magnus was just being flirty with Alec just for the fun of it..... The look on Magnus's face when their hands first touch during the memory demon ceremony shows genuine shock in Magnus's eyes! He clearly thought Alec was cute from the beginning, but in that second, the first time they ever make physical contact, Magnus ALMOST looks like he's actually 'feeling' their entire future relationship vibes together through that one touch. Which at his age and experience level with magic is most likely NOT just because Alec was attracted to him (which he obviously was), and he seems to be at a complete loss for words momentarily! It's probably only long enough for Alec and Izzy to notice... Speaking of Alec, he hadn't been quiet and smiley on the show yet, but instead was pessimistic, sarcastic, and rigid in his outward personality..... until he met Magnus! And, at first, he only let Magnus, and no one else, see that part of him. He seems to get shy and keeps giving Magnus little side smiles only when they are having more intimate interactions, but only when they are alone. After the initial impression Alec gave off, I think he could never have broken free from his mental struggles without the love of Magnus, just as Magnus needed him to help open his heart back up. They literally did help each other soar to their greatest heights TOGETHER by the end.They are one of those couples who meet and know right away that they belong together! (Admitting it is a whole different animal! Lol. But I think deep in their hearts, they knew right away.) They needed each other, both for very different reasons, but they always bettered each other and made up after fights maturely and talked things out. They deserved their happy ending! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 The Malec power couple made this show what it was, in my opinion. They are also the only ones who seem to never stray from their love for each other. Even during major conflicts, they never stopped loving each other as passionately as ever. All of the other "couples" or pairings are dang near drowning in unhealthy relationship dynamics or straight up ignorant to the fact that their lover is a villain... just my opinions and thoughts on this topic!!! 😊 Any extra info from the books or other sources is more than welcome! I'm always down for a conversation about Magnus or Alec or the show in general! ❤❤😊😊

The Kiss in 1x12 was was something we've been waiting for, but this moment, right there is the most, pure, most touching Malec moment so far. The Kiss was breathtaking, I'm sure we all have been breathless just as Alec and Magnus were, but here you can see all the confusion, uncertainty they both share. They are warriors, yes, but they're also a vunerable creatures and this is the first time they're trying to be open to one another, even though they're not really sure how it'll play out. Matt and Harry have done it perfectly, all of the emotion are just written all over their faces and in body language. It's just perfect and I love it very much.

When I found out that Harry Shum Jr. was going to play Magnus, I wasn't sure about that, but after watching this, wow, just wow. He portrays Magnus better than anyone could ever do, he's just absolutely perfect for that role. xD (Does anyone know the name of the song in the back? I quite like it)

4 years late but that song(where do we go from here) is sung by ruelle who has sung the tv show soundtrack (this is the hunt) for the show too along with many other songs war of hearts (my favorite), monsters, the other side etc.
