Since 1996, Patricia Medici has focused on developing conservation strategies for tapirs. Tapirs are also known as the gardeners of the forest. They owe their nickname to their important contribution to the South American ecosystem. In this video, Freek Vonk meets Patricia at the Tapir Project in Brazil (2015).
