Actually the masamune is more akin to an odachi not a nodachi, nodachi have long blades and long handles that are ruffly same length as blade; odachi are more like an up scaled katana long blade and handle but the handle isnt neer the length of the blade

Charles Ruckle If ya couldn't tell from the term "grudge match", yes, if they actually go through with that idea, it's indeed a rematch. But I think that idea is unnecessary. Though that's not the case with Goku vs. Saitama.

A Mario VS Sonic rematch would be redundant and I don't approve of Goku being put into a fight with a character whose entire gimmick is that he obliterates _everything_ with just one punch. On a side note, the alleged Season 4 leak also mentioned Catwoman VS Black Cat, Daredevil VS Nightwing, and Rogue Squadron VS Star Fox.

The first battle was Boba Fett vs. Samus Aran. Mario vs. Sonic was indeed in the first season but it was 13th episode. If the rematch happens, I think it's because while the first match had the basic power-ups and such used and they countered each other, they didn't use everything both Mario and Sonic has used in the games, things like Cappy, FLUDD, Werehog or Wisps. Though to be honest, I'd RATHER like to see Sonic the Werehog go against Wolf Link.

I was familiar with both of them, as I've played FF7, Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts, and seen Advent Children for knowledge of Sephiroth, and I've also played DMC 1 & 3 for info on Vergil, so I knew that Vergil was simply outclassed. Sephiroth at his peak (Safer Sephiroth) was essentially at the level of a literal god, while Vergil was 'merely' a half-demon who would probably be a closer match for an opponent like Genesis instead, and Genesis was still no match for Sephiroth. I know this, as during Crisis Core, it shows pre-Nibelheim Sephiroth sparring with both Angeal and Genesis, and the two of them had to team up to hold their own against Sephiroth, and both Angeal & Genesis were undeniably stronger than pre-Nibelheim Zack. Still, this was a great fight....even if they made Vergil look fat. :P

Tyler Durden I know what the videogames show just telling what would happen if the videogames went by what they said. Cause either that's not a real supernova (which it is) or they are saying that the people in that world are star level+. which would be crazy but this is showing the real effects if Virgil was apart of that univereshe would be able to survive it to easily intact but he's not. and devil may cry hasn't showed Dante or Virgil surviving a star or our sun exploding. But he did use that power.

supernova (the move) wasn't meant to kill vergil just to exhaust his healing factor so he had time to kill vergil

Vergil should easily escape with little to no burns since he can hop through dimensions, summon force fields and heal while in devil trigger. Cloud and other characters were able to tank sephiroths supernova without healing factors. Also Vergil is way more durable than sephiroth.

i think it was when used it the 1st time, before Seph took out his one wing, the slashes cut through dimenions, and vergil used it multiple times, giving sephi enough time to figure it out and cast the magics he needed, very smart play on sephi's part. Vergil was too arrogant, Seph is arrogant but is a tactician.

Jenova is the actual villain since she manipulated Sephiroth and some of Sephiroth scenes are clones of him. Jenova was the one that killed Aerith not Sephiroth. He was healing himself in the Life Stream.

Cashon Hawkins He uses it ten seconds into the fight. He just didn't stick with it because unlike Dante with Rebellion, Vergil is more skilled with Yamato than he is with Force Edge.

In the game, Vergil has Force Edge for all of one boss fight, and that boss fight was mostly Dante and Vergil fighting to see who would keep the sword. Vergil technically didn't 'own' Force Edge at that point, the only weapons Vergil literally 'owned' at that point were Yamato and Beowulf. I suspect that's their justification for excluding Force Edge from the fight. Plus, Force Edge doesn't really match Vergil's primary fighting style, which relies on blindingly fast sword strikes, while Yamato does. Force Edge is too large and bulky, so it would honestly be a better match for Dante, who already uses a sword of about that size (Rebellion).

I mean sure... just ignore the fact that Ryu managed to survive getting punched to the Moon and back by fucking Asura and then went toe-to-toe with his lesser forms as Evil Ryu. Or how he could keep up with the lightspeed Mega Man in a straight fight in base form (granted, Mega Man X Street Fighter is a fan game but endorsement by Capcom and prior fighting crossovers should more than support the feat). We simply overestimated Vergil since we see him as Dante's equal in almost everything.(''we'' as in, me and almost everyone who thought Vergil's gonna win) I started to play Final Fantasy VII for the first time VERY recently so I didn't know Sephiroth had unlimited amount of magic or the whole ''alternate dimension thing'' with Supernova. Well, it shouldn't been a surprise Sephiroth wins since he is after all bigger edgelord than Vergil. (Completely irrelevant note to point out. :P)
