I agree! Looks very classy. Traxxas usually makes cool looking g products and reason they sell a lot. Underneath a fairly good rc product but not best value. Traxxas makes the 3.0 4tec version corvette body and it's more intricate looking and another $40.00. On top of cheaper corvette body i have.

They sell a longer lasting tire compound for the VXL systems. They stock standard tires wear out faster. They come mounted on same style rims only slightly darker color .

Good to know for next time. Plus I will need to explore other manufactures tires/wheels and see if better out there. I don't want to glue or do the oven thing anymore to separate tires from plastic. * Typical downside to longer lasting tires (RC world or big car world) is less traction/grip. Soft compounds wear out faster because more grip. I can't have the best of both worlds but sometimes mistakenly think I can. Just like real car UHP tires or race tires. Do a track day car or motorcycle or full day of racing then you likley need to buy new ones. Real world big car tires (4) cost 1,600 to 2,000.

I have the same 4tech 2.0..with a C7 Corvette and Cadillac Body’s..I’m running a dual electric cooling fans on the motor..It seems to help

I'm not a " very happy supporter" of the extra fans on the motor and esc. Added complexity, added cost, added weight, added drain and added time consmption. likely a "have to do" to keep from cutting up the windshield of the corvette body. A heat sink on the motor is about all I'd want to do but then you still need fresh air blowing across that to work. Remember this is only while running a 2S battery too which means runs much cooler. On 3S is clearly manditory for these fan bandaids. I remember seeing/hearing at the hobby store near me in the past years that the fans very very temperamental and not sturdy. Traxxas and their VLX system has always had high heat issue. Every since back when on my 2009 Slash 4x4 Ultimate RTR. Some of the reason I went away from owning Traxxas back then. This car is fun, enjoyable, looks good so I will likely have to except and look at buying a body that I can cut slits/holes into for cooling or buy 2-3 fans. Thinking about adding a 3S battery to hit 45mph instead of 32-33mph on a road type course.

Sweet Vette! Does the body come stock with the chassis?
@GettingthruLife2 ай бұрын
No, with the 2.0 VXL platform currently, you buy the RTR without the body. I consider a bummer because you spend more but it is what it is. 299.99 for the current Traxxas 4tec 2.0 without a body. Then you pick either a Mustang 5.0, Cadillac CTSV, A Ford GT (very cool) or the Z06 Corvette previous gen. traxxas.com/products/models/electric/4-tec-2-vxl-chassis?t=accessories

Get an infraction almost need tires after every pack through it. There are better aftermarket tires for the 4tek than anything traxxas makes
@GettingthruLife2 ай бұрын
Yes infraction is very cool and there brand is kind of the gold standard in rc products. More car/truck than I needed. 6s battery is insane. What tires/wheels do you recommend or have seen recommended for best grip that fit the stock 4tec 2.0? Love the looking/finish of the traxxas factory 2.0 wheels and tires. Makes sense that they wear out quickly if you are driving hard. Just like real tires on a high performance track car. Harder compound tires last longer but don't offer same level of grip.
